We are seeking 3 engaged doctors for introductory positions in anesthesiology at the Anesthesiology Department at Hvidovre Hospital.

About the department

The Anesthesiology Department handles around 25,000 anesthesias annually and collaborates closely with the hospital’s major specialties, including:

• gynecology and obstetrics
• gastroenterological surgery
• orthopedic surgery

The department has 12 intensive care beds and participates in both cardiac arrest and trauma calls.

The Region’s emergency medical vehicle South is based at the hospital and staffed, among others, by doctors from the department.

The department has an active research environment, a professorship and several ongoing PhD projects in perioperative medicine, intensive care medicine and hemodynamic optimization.

The on-call team consists of five on-site doctors and a chief physician on standby duty.

• Ultrasound training and phantom training
• Procedures such as spinal, epidural, arterial cannulation, CVK, ultrasound-guided PVK/midlines and peripheral nerve blocks
• Large volume of procedures including labor epidurals
• Block school with focus on upper- and lower-extremity blocks
• Hemodynamics school with consultant-led teaching
