About the job

Do you want to take key responsibility for IT and automation in one of the world's most automated sterilization centers – and help build it up as it grows to serve the entire Region Hovedstaden?

Then it's definitely you we're looking for. We are seeking a skilled IT specialist who can help ensure robust operations and a smoothly running IT department in rapid development.

About the position

In the Shared Sterilization Center – the world's most advanced Sterilization Center - we have some of the newest machines within industrial sterilization, as well as IT solutions within industrial robots, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle), transport systems and automated stores, which you will come to work with and gain specialist knowledge about.

You will take ownership for selected system areas (e.g., MES, traceability, integrations) and become a central part of scaling the Shared Sterilization Center as the region's other sterilization centers are implemented toward 2028. You will work closely with the team and the IT manager on prioritization, architecture, supplier dialogue and solving the difficult issues.

You will also, in collaboration with your team, be tasked with producing documentation for work processes and further developing self-developed support tools.

We imagine you have

  • Education as a data clerk, data technician, or equivalent
  • Analytical approach and understanding of complex systems and their interconnections
  • Fundamental IT knowledge
  • Technical curiosity
  • Preferably experience with complex IT environments e.g.
  • Support of complex software, automation, software development or similar
  • Aveva (formerly Wonderware) MES system platform
  • SCADA and HMI development
  • T-DOC or other traceability systems
  • PLC programming and machine control via PLC
  • Understanding of databases, networks and e.g. advanced printer solutions
  • Database extracts / reporting
  • Communication between systems

Personally we expect you to

  • Take technical leadership without formal management
  • Be able to spar with management and stand firm against suppliers
  • Raise colleagues' competencies
  • Be able to work independently - take responsibility and create systematization and structure in the work
  • Be strong in communication and a proactive team player
  • Be flexible and contribute positively in a cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • Have experience with updating and maintaining documentation

About us

In the IT department – Local System Support - we work closely with, among other things, the technical staff, and together we ensure stable operations of the Shared Sterilization Center's washers, autoclaves and automated plants. With our specialized knowledge and competencies we handle the latest machines within sterilization as well as the latest IT solutions within industrial robots, AGVs, transport systems and automated stores.

We are part of the Shared Sterilization Center, which is a newly established company in Region Hovedstaden from January 1, 2025 and is still under build. In connection with the establishment, the two regional sterilization centers from Rigshospitalet and Herlev Hospital were organizationally united under a director at the helm.

The other hospitals' local sterilization centers will be implemented progressively toward 2028 in the new company, which will then have the overall responsibility for the Region Hovedstaden's reprocessing and support of approx. 1,000 daily operations.

In the Shared Sterilization Center we reprocess surgical instruments in a collaboration between manual and fully automatic processes, where, among other things, advanced robotics ensures that our two sterilization centers are among the most automated sterilization centers in the world. With us you will experience an enthusiastic and developmental work environment with a culture built on quality, production stability, profitability, community and sustainability.
