Job Advisor for Egedal Job Center – we accompany the citizen all the way to employment and education

We are looking for an engaged job advisor to work with activity-ready cash benefit recipients under and over 30 years old.

A new role with the citizen at the center

You will become part of a developing department where we together test and further develop work methods and approaches in step with the new frameworks in the employment area.

The employment reform gives us the opportunity to rethink how we plan the effort for the individual citizen. At Egedal Job Center, we have chosen to move toward a more cohesive effort, where the citizen meets fewer staff members and has one continuous point of contact who takes responsibility for the direction and coherence of the process.

As a job advisor, you will in collaboration with the citizen find the path to a job or education. You follow the citizen from the first conversations to concrete activities and job opportunities – and continuously adapt the effort to the citizen's needs and progression. You are thus the one who helps the citizen find opportunities, builds connections to the labor market and supports development through a close and targeted effort.

This means that you get the opportunity to work closer to both the citizen and the companies. The authority task remains an important part of your responsibility, but it must be seen as an integrated part of a complete process, where the goal is to create development and movement toward a job or education.

In Egedal Municipality we also work with the resource-oriented conversation as part of our professional foundation. We start from the citizen's resources, motivation and possibilities and work purposefully to translate them into concrete results.

Your main tasks

As a job advisor you will be responsible for creating coherence and progress in the citizen's progression. Your tasks will include, among others:

• Establish a good relationship with the citizen and jointly set a realistic direction toward a job or education.
• Attend to the holistic effort around the citizen and ensure the necessary case management and follow-up.
• Translate conversations and agreements into concrete actions that support the citizen's progression.
• Work targeted and strategic with job goals, sub-goals and opportunities for paid hours.
• Prospect and collaborate with companies to create relevant job opportunities and pathways into the labor market for the individual citizen.
• Support the citizen closely in periods where there is a need for extra guidance, structure and support.
• Follow up on agreements and interventions and adjust the process when the citizen's situation or opportunities change.
• Document the effort and ensure quality and progress in the citizen's case.
• Actively contribute to the development of our shared professionalism and the new job advisor role.

These tasks should not be solved as separate interventions, but as parts of one cohesive process, where you use your professional judgment to find the solution that makes the most sense for the individual citizen. The citizen's needs are thereby decisive for the effort and your ability to adapt and motivate will be crucial to succeed.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

• Are educated social worker, social facilitator
• Have experience with or a desire to work with citizens with complex problems.
• Can build trusting relationships while maintaining direction, expectations and concrete goals.
• Have an eye for the opportunities of the labor market and motivation to create contact with companies.
• Thrive with broad responsibility for the citizen's overall progression and can switch between conversations, involving the citizen as an active player in finding the best solutions and concrete company-oriented activities.
• Work in a resource-oriented manner and can translate the citizen's wishes and resources into realistic possibilities. You are able to work motivationally and with a focus on making the citizen aware of their own abilities.
• Can work independently and in a structured way and at the same time actively use colleagues for sparring and common solutions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
• Have good IT skills. Knowledge of Fasit is an advantage.

You do not need to be an expert in all parts of the role from day one. The most important thing is that you want to work in a holistic way, are curious about new working methods and are motivated to take responsibility for the overall effort together with the citizen.

About us

The position is anchored in the Department of Jobs and Resources in the Center for Culture, Leisure and Labor Market in Egedal Municipality.

You will be part of a team of 21 dedicated employees who work to create development and concrete employment opportunities for the municipality's citizens. We are in the process of developing our organization and professional practice, and we place emphasis on cooperation, professional sparring and a shared responsibility for achieving results.

The position is 37 hours per week with commencement on January 1, 2027 or after agreement.
