About the job
Job broker for the unemployment benefit area – create the path from unemployment to employment
Would you like to be part of a team where we both help companies find the workforce they need – and support the unemployed in finding their way onto the labor market? Then you may be our new job broker for the unemployment benefit area.
In Thisted Municipality we are seeking a job broker for the unemployment benefit area who is passionate about creating the right match between job seekers and employers.
We are looking for someone who has an eye for the needs of the labor market and is motivated by translating conversations and plans into concrete results.
With us, job brokerage is about more than helping the unemployed apply for jobs. It is about knowing the opportunities on the labor market, thinking in new ways, and helping each individual take the next step toward employment or upskilling.
Your everyday life as a job broker
You will play a central role in the work with insured job seekers, where job-oriented conversations, concrete job matching and authority tasks go hand in hand.
You should be able to see opportunities in the individual job seeker's competencies and at the same time understand the needs of employers for labor. This requires that you are curious, proactive and dare to challenge both the job seeker's expectations and the traditional paths to work.
Your most important tasks will be
- Conduct job-oriented conversations, perform authority tasks and create a clear direction towards regular work.
- Match job seekers with concrete job openings and work purposefully with upskilling and branch change as possible paths to employment.
- Identify the individual job seeker's resources and opportunities and tailor your efforts accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with your colleagues to translate companies' recruitment needs into concrete job opportunities.
We are looking for a job broker who takes initiative, follows up and stays focused on progress. You should be able to motivate and support the job seeker, but also be clear about expectations, opportunities and responsibility.
We are also working on developing our digital practice. Therefore, you will be an active part of the work to use digital solutions to strengthen job search, job match and the quality of the effort.
Who are you?
We imagine that you have experience from the employment area, preferably with insured job seekers, and that you have a good understanding of both the authority role and the local labor market.
The most important, however, is your approach to the task. You are focused on delivering results and know that a good conversation only really makes a difference when it leads to action.
We place particular emphasis on the following
- Action-oriented and good at creating motivation, progress and concrete job opportunities.
- Aware of employers' needs, good at collaboration and willing to think in new solutions.
- Curious about digital possibilities and thrives with development, changes and professional freedom under responsibility.
You can work independently and make professional decisions, but you also know that the best solutions are often found in collaboration with others.
A team with professionalism, camaraderie and room for humor
You will become part of a professionally strong team. With us you are not alone with the tasks. We prioritize professional sparring, camaraderie and knowledge sharing, and we use each other’s experiences to find the best solutions.
We have an informal tone, a short path to management and a daily life where there is room for both professional discussions, new ideas and a good laugh.
What you can look forward to
We offer a workplace where you have the opportunity to shape your own task resolution and help develop the future of employment efforts.
You will receive a thorough introduction with a mentor and buddy, flexible working conditions with flexitime and the possibility of remote work as well as good opportunities for professional sparring and development.
Have we sparked your interest?
Then we look forward to receiving your application and CV.
