About the job

Kindergarten Class Leader at Langholt School

Langholt School is seeking a kindergarten class leader with a start date of 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is 37 hours.

Are you passionate about motivating children through curiosity and learning? Are you professionally grounded and good at relationship work? Do you want to be an active part of the school where communities, a desire to learn, and respect are the shared focus in collaboration around the children? Then this position could be right for you.

Langholt School is a small school with a strong community - we all matter for our shared school. The school is characterized by a positive atmosphere and a good and constructive culture of collaboration, which shapes the environment at and around the school - and you as the upcoming kindergarten class leader and colleague will likewise become an active part of it.

Our pedagogical basis is that children do well if they can. We focus on resources and competences as well as creating the best possible social and academic conditions for each child and the school's communities - at Langholt School we have classmates, schoolmates, and DUS companions. Therefore you as the upcoming kindergarten class leader will be motivated by being part of a small school where both children and adults around the school know each other.

Who are we?

Langholt School is located in Horsens Hammer Parish, centrally in Aalborg Municipality, just north of the Limfjord with close access to nature and green areas.

The school has 7 classes, from kindergarten through 6th grade, with 105 children.

When the students finish 6th grade at Langholt School, they continue their schooling at Vodskov School together with the 7th grade students from Vodskov and Grindsted.

The school currently employs 9 teachers, 1 kindergarten class leader, 4 pedagogues, 1 technical service employee, 2 cleaning assistants, 1 school helper, 1 secretary, as well as the school leadership consisting of a deputy principal and a principal.

We expect that you

  • Are educated as a pedagogue.
  • Are passionate about working with children and being a significant adult in their lives at school.
  • Are motivated to create inclusive frameworks with a fundamental starting point that children practice and learn to go to school in kindergarten.
  • Can collaborate equally and trustfully with colleagues, parents, leadership and external partners.
  • Have great commitment and are flexible.
  • Can work independently, goal-oriented and loyal.
  • Have a good overview and can navigate in a sometimes changing daily life.
  • Are good at initiating, taking responsibility and following up on agreements, initiatives and pedagogical processes.
  • Can maintain an overview and translate words into actions.
  • Are strong communicators both verbally and in writing.
  • Have professional pride - where children's well-being, development and learning are in the foreground.
  • Have an inclusive view of children and ambitions on behalf of the children
  • Can meet parents in an open and constructive dialogue with clear expectations for collaboration around the children.

We can offer a workplace

  • Where the relational aspect is highly valued, both in relation to children, parents, colleagues and leadership.
  • Where there are good opportunities to think innovatively.
  • With a development-oriented staff and leadership, where the culture among them is characterized by engagement, a sense of community and helpfulness.
  • A good and constructive collaboration around the children with colleagues and parents.
  • Where we have a school board and a parent group that supports the school and the school's values.
  • With great professional pride and focus on the children's social and academic well-being.

The children at Langholt School wish for ...

Do you see yourself in the children's wishes?

Then you may be the kindergarten class leader we are looking for. With us you will meet children who need a safe, caring and present adult who can create a good start to school life through play, learning, community and curiosity.
