Klausdalskolen seeks a teacher with a special education profile

We are expanding our group arrangement and therefore need a teacher.

In the Municipality of Herlev we are heavily investing in primary education and will invest 21 million DKK annually in the elementary schools from 2026. The funds are, among other things, allocated to a two-teacher scheme in Danish and mathematics, professional development, and more staff in after-school care (SFO) and clubs. It gives you better conditions to deliver high-quality teaching and build strong relationships. And thus make a difference for the children in school, SFO and club.

Teacher with a special educational profile for the group arrangement

We are seeking a teacher with experience in and/or interest in the special education field for our group arrangement (Plusklassen), preferably who can teach mathematics . If you have other subject competencies, we would also love to hear from you.

About Plusklassen

Plusklassen is a group arrangement at Klausdalskolen formed by students from grades 3–9.

Our students need a smaller, sheltered offering with a high degree of structure, predictability and social training. At the same time, Plusklassen functions as a bridge to the comprehensive school and the after-school part (club) when it makes sense for the individual child. Our goal is to create a safe learning environment that ensures well-being and academic as well as social development.

Our group arrangement consists of 4 groups with a maximum of 8 students per group. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team consisting of 3 teachers and 8 pedagogical staff who work closely together around our students.

• have a flair for identifying each child’s skills and creating engaging teaching at eye level.
• thrive in a structured everyday life and manage to create predictable frames.
• meet the children with an appreciative and positively corrective approach .
• see close collaboration with parents as a strength and a crucial part of the work.
• reflect on your own practice, dare to put it into play and spar with colleagues.
• willingly have experience with network meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration with, for example, PPR, social workers and family therapists.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. A child and criminal background check will be obtained for employees hired at the schools in the Municipality of Herlev.

Commencement on 1 January 2027.

Herlev Municipality has smoke-free working hours.
