Klausdalskolen is seeking a math teacher for the lower primary grades

In Herlev Municipality we are massively investing in the public school system and will invest 21 million DKK annually in the municipal primary schools from 2026. The funds flow, among other things, to a two-teacher arrangement in Danish and mathematics, professional development as well as more adults in after-school care (SFO) and clubs. It gives you better conditions for working to ensure high-quality teaching and strong relationship-building. This, in turn, supports the employees in making a difference for the children in school, SFO, and clubs.

We are looking for a mathematics teacher for the early years of primary school. You will be part of a strong year-group team and will work with co-teaching together with experienced mathematics teachers. We place emphasis on close collaboration around the pupils' learning, well-being and opportunities to participate.

About Klausdalskolen

We are focused on the overlap between the specialized and the general. We have started work with the NEST class sequence and currently have NEST classes at the kindergarten level, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. Based on NEST and in collaboration with PPR, we have launched a development program in which we have, among other things:

• a systematic pedagogical approach in all our year-group teams based on the NEST principles.
• focus on developing a range of intermediate forms to support the above.
• an expansion of NEST classes at all grade levels (middle years from 27/28).

Herlev Municipality

In Herlev we have a working-time agreement with a flexible understanding of how working hours are allocated. We work in self-managing professional teams with focus on pedagogy and methodology. We work with flexible schedules that are laid out four times a year. Teachers teach on average 750 hours per year, about 19 clock hours per week. Fixed meeting loops ensure that collaboration with your colleagues is scheduled and with a fixed meeting day on Tuesday.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. A child protection and criminal record check will be obtained for employees who are hired at the schools in Herlev Municipality.
