Kofoed's School is seeking 2 social pedagogues for a residential community for young people

Would you like to make a difference for people with special social challenges who do not have or cannot stay in their own housing? We are looking for two trained pedagogues for two different houses in Kofoeds Skole's Youth Housing located in Amager. The positions are 37 hours per week with employment starting on January 1, 2027.

Our new colleagues should be eager to work based on the principle of help to self-help . The framework for our pedagogical work is a cozy villa, which we strive to keep inviting and homely.

Each house consists of a common team leader and two pedagogical colleagues. In addition, we have two social workers attached, who are close colleagues and partners. You get a fixed base in one of the houses and together with your colleagues and the team leader you have 11 young people living in their own rooms with shared kitchen, living room and bathrooms.

Kofoeds Skole has 4 § 110 communal housing for young people between 18 and 30 who need support to get a grip on life and to become clarified in relation to their own resources, challenges, work, education and future wishes. Our residents experience that they have various social challenges, making it difficult for them to live a normal youth life. We work from a multipedagogical approach, where we plan the support individually according to each resident's needs.

Job tasks

• We have the relationship as the bearing tool.
• We support the resident in clarifying about job, education, activation.
• We support the residents in creating content in everyday life.
• We strive for the house to appear – and be used – as a home by the residents, and regard this as an important pedagogical task, therefore practical tasks, including cleaning of common areas, are carried out together with the residents.
• We keep a journal in Danjournal as documentation of the work.

• Pedagogical education.

Experiences

• It is a requirement that you have pedagogical experience with the target group or other relevant work experience, and preferably solid knowledge of other social offers.
• It is an advantage that you have experience in documentation in your work.
• It is an advantage that you have experience in working with substances.
• It is an advantage that you have knowledge of the psychiatric system, as well as psychiatric problems and treatments.
• You have experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and with navigating the public system.

Professional qualifications

• Pedagogical education.

Personal qualifications

• You can maintain enthusiasm and structure in the work through periods with sparse resident contact and low activity in the house.
• You are initiative-minded and thrive being self-directed.
• You are able to create and maintain the good collaborative relationship with residents, colleagues and partners.
• You are tolerant and have a desire to work professionally with people with special social problems.

Kofoeds Skole is a self-governing institution with 100 employees, offering help to help themselves to unemployed adults. We have about 3,600 students annually and, in addition to the main school in Copenhagen, also have departments in Aarhus and Aalborg. We offer counseling, teaching, workshop-based learning, financial emergency aid and much more for many different people.

Employment terms etc.

The employment starts from January 1, 2027. The position is on average 37 hours per week. And the working hours are distributed day and evening on weekdays with partly flexible hours.

The employment is generally in accordance with the Common Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations in the Public Sector (OAO-S), as well as the Organizational Agreement for social-pedagogical employees at Kofoeds Skole (SL).
