Consultant for the social housing area in Brøndby

In Brøndby Municipality we have the country's highest relative share of social housing. Many of the social housing departments are in the process of or facing very extensive renovations. At the same time we are working on a very ambitious urban development project in Brøndby Strand, which to a large extent involves the area's housing organizations.

We therefore seek a consultant who can help lift the supervisory task in the municipality and ensure that Brøndby’s social housing creates even more value for the municipality and our citizens. This is a newly created position, so there is a great opportunity to make your mark on the task solution yourself.

Today we have a good and trusting collaboration with the housing organizations. In recent years we have actively worked to support the urban-strategic transformation processes in the social housing areas – both as supervision, but also as a collaboration partner, sparring partner and by continuously maintaining focus on the departments' role in the overall urban development. We want to build on this form of cooperation. Several of our housing organizations are locally administered or locally anchored, and this also provides an opportunity for close, ongoing dialogue and collaboration.

About the job

The following highlights of tasks await our new consultant

• Conclude the annual governance dialogue, where the mayor and the chief administrative officer participate
• Conduct the annual joint meeting with the housing organizations, where we discuss a common theme across the municipality and housing organizations
• A coordinating, urban-strategic function in relation to creating coherence between the extensive holistic plans for renovating most departments in Brøndby Strand, the urban development in the district and the municipality's other efforts in the district
• Handle coordination and planning of the strategic collaboration between the housing organizations in Brøndby Strand, Brøndby Municipality and Arealudviklingsselskabet for Fremtidens Brøndby Strand
• Be secretary for Beboerklagenævnet. You will have a central role in handling complaints in the social housing area
• Ordinary supervisory tasks in collaboration with the lawyer in the area
• Tasks related to formulation and exercise of the municipality's housing policy, e.g. strategic letting agreements, housing allocation, letting criteria etc.

About you

First and foremost you have solid knowledge of the social housing sector. Your educational background is less important, but you have documented experience with the area. We also expect that your personal qualities align with the way we have chosen to solve the supervisory task, among other things through dialogue and collaboration. You must therefore be good at building and maintaining relationships with our partners, both internally and externally.

About us

The position is placed in the Legal Team, which today consists of four lawyers who together cover all administrative areas. Our citizen's advisor is also attached to the team. Even though we work with different professional areas, we collaborate to find solutions and test viewpoints on questions we receive from the organization.

The Legal Team is part of the Policy and Organization Support, the municipality's central staff, located at Brøndby Town Hall. We work with supporting top management and with HR, payroll, political servicing, legal advice, communication, organizational development and cross-cutting development tasks.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is full-time. You are employed according to the relevant collective agreement with the possibility of negotiating individual supplements depending on experience, competencies etc.
