About the job
Do you want to make a difference in a large and complex organization with society-critical tasks? Do you have a sense for both business, users and IT – and can you ensure that our systems optimally support the business needs? Could you imagine working on a system that touches 15,000 users every day, so please read on.
You currently hold a position as a Business Analyst, requirements analyst or similar, and are seeking new challenges. Then you may be the business analyst we are looking for in Koncern IT (KIT) , the section for Business and Modernization, which among other things holds business ownership of POLSAS.
About the role
As a business analyst you will be the link between the business (police districts) and KIT. Together with the rest of the team, you will share the overall responsibility for one or more business systems – from development to use and further development.
You work closely with the section that is responsible for the technical delivery, as well as support, while ensuring that the solutions create value for users in the districts and support the organization's goals.
Your tasks
- Act as the link between KIT and the users in the police districts and other stakeholders
- Identify the organization's and projects' needs and translate them into concrete requirements and solutions.
- Create an overview of workflows, systems and interdependencies and identify opportunities for improvements.
- Help ensure that business systems support processes, legislation and strategic objectives
- Make data and complex issues understandable and usable as a basis for decisions and actions.
- Interest in good data quality
- Participate in development and implementation initiatives
- Identify and propose new working methods, processes and technological solutions that create value and increase efficiency.
Your profile
You are a structured and collaborative profile with an understanding of both processes and IT. You thrive working across the organization and can communicate complex topics in an understandable way. We place more emphasis on your methodological approach, your curiosity and your ability to achieve results with others than on which industry you come from.
You have a relevant higher education at bachelor or master's level, e.g. in social sciences, IT, organization or a related area. The most important is that you can translate your professional knowledge into practice and work in a structured way with complex problems at the intersection of organization, processes and IT.
We imagine that you
o Have a strong method for uncovering, collecting and documenting information.
o Are analytical, curious and critical in working with tasks and information.
o Can see connections between processes, data and systems.
o Have an interest in how systems hang together, including their dependencies.
o Can make complex challenges manageable and create structure.
o Take initiative, assume ownership and ensure tasks are completed.
o Create progress by involving the right stakeholders and ensuring strong collaboration to find the best solutions.
o Are strong in dialogue and communication to different types of stakeholders.
o Have experience with or knowledge of project management work.
o Are motivated to drive smaller projects and take responsibility for delivering them safely.
We offer
- A meaningful job in a large organization with an important societal task
- A role with influence on how systems and solutions create value in the business and for the total of 15,000 users
- A professionally strong environment with skilled colleagues in IT, business and project management
- A cross-organizational collaboration
- Flexible working conditions and good opportunities for competence development
- Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement
