About the job

Are you interested in the interaction between law and digitalization? Do you want to work with administrative-law and data protection law compliance in IT solutions? Then you may be our upcoming colleague in Security and Compliance.

Be part of ensuring legal anchoring in the Tax Administration

In Security and Compliance we work, among other things, to ensure that the Tax Administration's IT solutions function well and comply with applicable rules. One of our tasks is to perform and document legal assessments of larger and smaller IT projects, when it comes to compliance with administrative-law rules and legal guarantees.

As a digitization lawyer you will be a key person in ensuring that the solutions are administratively defensible, and that they comply with data protection rules.

You will work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, data experts and representatives from the Tax Administration's various professional areas across the agency. You will also have close collaboration with the Development and Simplification Agency. The tasks include both legal assessment of concrete solutions and workflows as well as the preparation of guidelines that ensure system development is carried out in accordance with applicable rules and in a secure manner in practice.

In all tasks, good collaboration relations will be crucial for success. We place emphasis on knowledge sharing, informality and high professional standards.

Examples of tasks

  • Participate in projects and ensure that legal considerations are translated into practical solutions
  • Assess larger and smaller IT solutions in relation to administrative and data protection law
  • Prepare legal compliance documentation, e.g. administrative-law impact analyses, legality assessments and threshold analyses (assessment of need for DPIA)
  • Contribute to spreading understanding of legal compliance in digitalization work.

An analytical and collaborative jurist

We are seeking a jurist with a legal master’s degree (cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.), who preferably has experience with legal assessments in connection with digitization and IT development. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with administrative-law, data protection or general legal compliance in IT development projects. You are motivated by ensuring that digital solutions are developed in accordance with the law – and at the same time support efficient case handling.

In addition we emphasise that you

  • have a proactive, analytical and curious approach to your tasks, so you are always ready to think in solutions.
  • are good at building and maintaining collaborative relations and are a true team player
  • enjoy giving legal sparring to your colleagues and partners
  • are thorough in your legal method
  • can work independently and manage to communicate positively and constructively, so your answers are simple and immediately usable for colleagues with other professional backgrounds.

About us

You will become part of the Security and Compliance Office, located in Frederiksberg and in Trekroner and Middelfart. The office has 15 employees with educational backgrounds spanning from humanities to economics and law to IT. As we work at different addresses, we typically meet in Trekroner a couple of times a month. Together we cover a broad portfolio of tasks.

In addition to work on legal compliance, we are responsible for tasks within the security agenda in the form of e.g. risk management, information security and emergency preparedness, as well as the responsibility for tasks related to supervision, as we are coordinating the Danish Parliament’s and the Ombudsman’s investigations of the agency.
