About the job

Office of Health and Practice in Region Central Denmark seeks a lawyer

In Health and Practice, we are responsible for a large part of the operation and governance of the practice sector in Region Central Denmark. The practice sector comprises independent healthcare professionals within the general medical offering, specialty clinics, physiotherapists, psychologists, podiatrists, chiropractors and dentists.

We are in the midst of implementing the health reform, which is the largest reform of the health service in 20 years and which places a strong focus on better doctor coverage across the country. For us, this means greater complexity in solving our tasks, and new tasks will arise as the reform is implemented.

For example, the task of managing doctor capacity and patient numbers in medical clinics has become administratively heavier and more complex, because the reform takes significant steps toward a better distribution of doctors. The same will apply to ensuring correct payment of fees and the task of securing recruitment of general practitioners as well as cases of mismanagement within the general medical area.

Right now we are seeking a lawyer who thrives and is motivated by working at the intersection of law, politics and strategy.

Your legal frame of reference will not be limited to a single statute, as the task area touches public law, private law and EU law.

Your tasks will include

  • Interpret legislation and collective agreement texts

As a lawyer in the office, you will need to collaborate with the office's other 26 employees, all of whom have a different educational background from yours. You are expected to solve tasks in close collaboration with colleagues who possess knowledge essential to involving in the office's legally oriented tasks. You will have access to legal sparring through the office manager and the region's Legal Office.

We imagine that you

  • Are educated cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.
  • Have an interest in applying law in a political and strategic context
  • Are able to express yourself both in writing and orally
  • Can collaborate across disciplines and incorporate them into your work
  • Thrive with responsibility and working independently
  • Have a sense of structure and framework to ensure that rules and procedures are observed
  • Understand how to work in a politically governed organization
