Lead Software Engineer (.NET/TypeScript)

Would you still write code – but also set the technical direction for an entire team?

At Onlimited we are looking for an experienced Tech Lead who can take technical ownership of one of our development teams and help shape the way we build software.

You come from a role such as Senior Developer, Lead Developer, Tech Lead or similar, where you have already had technical responsibility for solutions that other developers have depended on.

With us you won’t be a middleman between the developers and the technology. You will be part of the team and work hands-on with the solutions.

Your responsibility

As Tech Lead you will be the technical driver on the team and work closely with both developers and customers.

You will among other things

• Develop hands-on primarily in C#/.NET and TypeScript
• Design solutions across backend, frontend and integrations and take responsibility for the technical choices in the code.
• Drive technical refinement of complex features
• Independently draft and qualify Architecture Decision Records (ADR)
• Design robust third-party integrations and API solutions
• Identify technical risks and challenge unnecessary complexity
• Elevate the team's technical level through mentoring, code reviews and sparring
• Drive the team's use of AI tools and AI agents

AI is a part of our engineering

We won’t just use AI to write code faster. We will use AI to change and improve the way we develop software.

Therefore we expect that you already work practically with modern AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar.

You actively experiment with which parts of the development process can be solved better with AI and agents – and can translate the experiences into concrete workflows for the team.

This can be in analysis, refinement, implementation, testing, code review, debugging or documentation.

At the same time you have the technical experience to know when AI is not the solution.

We do not expect you to have all the answers on how AI will change software development.

We expect that you will help find them.

Is it you?

The most important thing is not whether you already have the title Tech Lead.

The important thing is that you have already had the responsibility.

We expect that you

• Have solid experience as a senior software developer or equivalent
• Have had real responsibility for architecture and complex technical solutions
• Can independently drive refinement and produce ADRs
• Have experience with business-critical third-party integrations
• Have mentored other developers through mentoring and technical sparring
• Use AI actively as part of your development work
• Can challenge solutions and make pragmatic technical decisions
• Take ownership and drive problems all the way to a solution

You don’t have to be the one who talks the most.

But when a difficult technical decision must be made, we expect you to take responsibility.
