Head of the Adult Disability Authority at the Center for Employment and Social in Gribskov Municipality

Are you ready to take the lead of a new authority department within the disability area and help set the direction for the specialized adult sector in Gribskov Municipality? As head of the Adult Disability Authority, you will play a key role in translating political goals and professional ambitions into everyday practice, where skilled employees translate legislation, professionalism and political objectives into solutions that create value for citizens and support the development of the area.

The position is located in the Center for Employment and Social, Gribskov Municipality, in Helsinge on Østergade.

A leadership community with strong collaboration and good energy

You will become an important part of the management of the Center for Employment and Social, which covers both the specialized adult area, residential facilities, employment and services. Your closest managerial colleagues in everyday work will be the head of social psychiatry and the head of disability housing. In addition, you will be part of the leadership group together with the heads of employment, disability housing, social psychiatry and services and you will report to the center manager.

You enter a well-functioning leadership group where we help each other, share knowledge and have a close and loyal collaboration – both about daily operations and about the strategic milestones in the organization. Your key competencies as the leader of the Adult Disability Authority

• You are a clear and presence-based leader who can translate goals and professional ambitions into a well-functioning everyday life, who sits securely in your leadership role, listens and is curious about different perspectives – while also being able to make decisions and stand firm when the situation requires it.
• You have a social-science education – e.g., as a social worker or similar – and relevant leadership experience. If you do not already have a leadership qualification, you are ready to undertake a diploma in leadership.
• You can create clarity and direction in the department, so both employees and partners know where you are headed and how you will get there together
• You have an eye for the economic challenges in the area, governance, and sustainable operations and you use data and numbers to qualify priorities.
• You thrive in a digital everyday life, where IT and digitalization are natural tools to support quality, documentation and workflows.

Your central tasks in the new authority department

You will become the leader of a new department, as we have chosen to divide the specialized adult area into two units: one unit for the disability area and one unit for social psychiatry. You will have line management responsibility for about 7 employees.

As authority leader you will be responsible for the authority area in the disability segment, including BPA, assistance schemes and additional costs, as well as the associated authority advisors and their tasks. In daily practice, you will among other things:

• Create clear direction, clear goals and good frameworks for employees’ daily task execution, so professionalism, well-being and collaboration go hand in hand, and operations are sustainable
• Ensure and support professional quality and well-being in the department as well as provide clear professional sparring, feedback and expectation alignment
• Plan and prioritize resources and tasks with a view to the best solution for citizens
• Create follow-through and support strong collaboration across professional disciplines

The position has been created as part of a larger transformation in the specialized adult area, where the division into the two units social psychiatry and the disability area shall strengthen implementation power and focus on the still increasing economic development, particularly in the disability area. The purpose of the organizational change includes:

• Creating stronger coherence between authority tasks and services close to citizens.
• Strengthening leadership capacity in the specialized adult area.
• Enhancing managerial follow-up on activity, quality and economy.
• Creating better conditions for implementing the changes necessary to ensure a long-term, stable development of the area.

The position is 37 hours per week with start on February 1, 2027.

Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the relevant professional organization.

In connection with the appointment we will obtain a criminal record certificate.
