Legal Compliance Manager

Apply for this job At Basico you translate your legal professionalism into advisory services with concrete, translatable solutions for your clients. Your skills are always brought into play at the intersection of law and business – either through interim solutions or as part of larger projects.

Here you will be closely close to your clients and in many cases become an important, integrated part of their internal legal department.

What tasks are there in the position?

One of your key goals will be through your legal advisory to create a dynamic interaction between the client's business and their approach to data protection, so the solutions are legally sound and can function in practice. More specifically, your tasks will include:

• Analysis of which rules apply to the company's business
• Lawfulness assessments, impact analyses, negotiation of data processing agreements and friendly audits/gap analyses (GDPR)
• Article 30 records of processing activities, privacy policies and data protection by design (GDPR)
• Participate in Business Impact Analyses and data flow mapping and governance in connection with protecting critical infrastructure at client sites or for important entities for societal security (DORA/NIS2)
• Preparation, support or operation of certifications for cyber security and privacy, including for example ISAE 3402, ISAE 3000, SOC2, ISO27001, etc.
• Support of the company's operations through guidance on the right scope for license to operate, e.g. through facilitation and knowledge sharing.
• Implementation of legal/compliance tech to build documentation and scalable processes.
• Development of documentation standards and processes for compliance operations either as part of own operating tasks at clients or for clients who want development of their operations.

In addition to your core tasks you will increasingly advise and guide more of your clients in navigating the implementation of AI, including governance models. It will be a plus if you can also translate AI technology into something that can be used when solving compliance tasks for clients.

We are looking for you who

• Holds a cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur. degree.
• Has a minimum of 5 years' experience with data protection from either a law firm or a larger company.
• Has strong analytical and communication skills
• Has experience with and enjoys leading others in their work.
• Has a commercial mindset and understands the importance of a strong client relationship.
