Legal consultant for the legal team in the Social Department in the Central Denmark Region (maternity leave cover)

As a maternity leave substitute in the legal team, you will be part of a large organization where cross-disciplinary and cross-geographical collaboration is an important part of daily life, and where you together with colleagues help bridge law and practice and find solutions that work in daily life.

About the position

In the Social Area in Region Midtjylland you will be part of the legal team, where you together with your colleague will be responsible for translating legislation and administrative practice into solutions that work in everyday life. You will primarily work with social and health legislation for both children and adults.

You advise managers and employees, contribute to concrete case handling and teach courses and presentations. The tasks range from planned programs to urgent legal questions, so you get a daily life with both professional depth, variety and close contact with practice.

Collaboration and knowledge sharing fill a large part of everyday life – both in the legal team, in the Social Area's Staff and across the specialty areas. Together we work to ensure a high and consistent legal quality.

The workday alternates between the office in Viborg, meetings and teaching at offerings around the region and the possibility of working from home. You thus get a versatile position with a broad contact network and the opportunity to make the law concrete and applicable for both staff, managers and citizens.

Your tasks

• Advise managers and staff in the social area and make statutory material usable for other professional groups.
• Teach and give presentations.
• Monitor new legislation, decisions, etc. from relevant authorities.
• Prepare responses to consultations and quality assure legal documents in the social area.
• Enter into a close partnership with your colleague in the legal team and actively contribute to the team's professional profile and culture.

• Relevant legal education
• Strong communicator who can translate statutes into practice for non-lawyers
• Thrives in a large, politically led organization and navigates confidently across disciplines and geographies
• Works independently, systematically and solution-oriented – also when tasks are complex and urgent
• Engages in a close partnership with your colleague in the legal team and actively contribute to the team's professional profile and culture
• Has a driving license (the legal team regularly provides training at the region's social offerings throughout Region Midtjylland)

Who are we?

In the Social Area's Staff the core task is to support the entire management system in the social area and its continued development. We are based at Regionshuset Viborg and organized into three offices, where we work closely together, share knowledge across and have a trusting, professional daily life with room for humor. We also prioritize the social community and good collegiality as a framework for high professional quality. You will become part of the Office of Policy and Strategy and report to the Administrative Chief Kjeld Pasgaard Nørby.

Salary and employment terms

This is a full-time position as a maternity leave substitute. The position is to be filled as soon as possible or by January 1, 2027 at the latest.

Salary and employment terms are determined according to the applicable collective agreement and the Ny Løn principles.
