About the job
Do you want to use your legal expertise close to practice and help develop one of Denmark's strongest and most specialized social areas? As a maternity cover in the legal team, you will be part of a large organization where cross-disciplinary and cross-regional collaboration is an important part of everyday life, and where you, together with colleagues, help bridge law and practice and find solutions that work in daily life.
About the position
In the Social Area of the Region of Central Jutland, you will become part of the legal team, where you together with your colleague are responsible for translating legislation and administrative practice into solutions that work in everyday life. You will primarily work with social and health legislation for both children and adults.
You advise managers and employees, contribute to concrete case processing, and teach courses and give presentations. The tasks range from planned programs to urgent legal questions, giving you a daily life with both professional deepening, variation, and close contact with practice.
Collaboration and knowledge sharing fill much of everyday life – both in the legal team, in the Social Area’s Support, and across the specialty areas. Together we work to ensure a high and consistent legal quality.
The workday alternates between the office in Viborg, meetings and teaching at initiatives around the region, and the possibility of remote work. You thus get a varied position with a broad contact surface and the opportunity to make the law concrete and usable for both employees, managers, and citizens.
Your tasks
- Advise managers and employees in the social area and make substantive law usable for other professional groups.
- Teach and give presentations.
- Monitor new legislation, decisions, etc., from relevant authorities.
- Prepare consultation responses and quality-assure legal documents in the social area.
- Enter into close collaboration with your colleague in the legal team and actively contribute to the team’s professional profile and culture.
About you
- Relevant legal education
- Strong communicator who can translate statutes into practice for non-lawyers
- Thrives in a large, politically led organization and navigates confidently across disciplines and geographies
- Works independently, systematically, and solution-oriented – also when tasks are complex and urgent
- Engages in close partnership with your colleague in the legal team and actively contributes to the team’s professional profile and culture
- Has a driver’s license (the legal team conducts ongoing training at the region’s social offerings throughout the Region of Central Jutland)
It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the social area, but most important is that you want to use your legal expertise close to practice and together with others. You thrive with sparring, actively contribute to joint solutions, and take responsibility for your own tasks.
We emphasize that you can create an overview of complex issues, work in a structured way, and have an eye for solutions that are legally sound and work in everyday life.
Become part of a workplace with high professional standards and good humor
As a maternity cover in the Social Area’s Support and in the Social Area of the Region of Central Jutland, you get:
- A varied and developing job with challenging tasks and a good and constructive dialogue about how we solve tasks
- Committed and skilled colleagues – and a leader with trust as a core value
- A high degree of responsibility in task execution with good opportunities to influence the position
- A strong professional environment with good well-being and an informal tone
- Flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work
Who are we?
In the Social Area’s Support, the core task is to support the entire management system in the social area and its continued development. We are based in the Regional House in Viborg and are organized into three offices where we work closely together, share knowledge across, and have a trusting, professional everyday life with room for humor. We also prioritize social community and good camaraderie as a framework for high professional quality. You will become part of the Policy and Strategy Office, and you report to the Administrative Director Kjeld Pasgaard Nørby.

This is a full-time position as a maternity cover. The position is to be filled as soon as possible or no later than January 1, 2027.
