About the job

Do you want to strengthen the administrative law work in Copenhagen Municipality – and contribute to ensuring good conditions for the city's elderly citizens?

At the meeting on October 6, 2026, Copenhagen Municipality’s Health and Care Committee has opened up the opportunity to strengthen the administrative law work in Copenhagen Municipality. You can now become our new colleague in the Legal Department of the Health and Care Administration in a temporary full-time position through and including December 31, 2027.

Why you should choose us

The Health and Care Administration is responsible for health promotion, prevention, rehabilitation and the elderly sector in Copenhagen, including home care and nursing homes. From June 1, 2026, we also took over several tasks from the Social Administration as part of the municipal merger of areas including home care and assistive devices. The Social Administration will however continue to handle social affairs in the children and adults area.

In this position you will have the opportunity to strengthen the administrative law area in the department, especially with a focus on elderly and social-law issues. You will work with the elderly sector and cross-generation issues, e.g., in relation to assistive devices. You will become a central sparring partner for local visitations in concrete decision cases, inter-municipal reimbursement questions and complex citizen journeys, including appeals cases and relative care processes at our citizen-facing units such as nursing homes.

You will have independent responsibility and unique insight into the administration's areas of work and organization. With us you become part of a dynamic and social work environment close to the decision-making processes. We prioritize an informal tone and collaboration, and we offer flexible working conditions so you can create a balance between work and private life.

About you

We expect you to have a legal background, e.g., as cand.jur., and preferably experience with administrative law and the elderly or social-law area. You thrive in close collaboration with colleagues from different professional backgrounds and understand why cross-disciplinary cooperation is important. You work proactively and service-minded in meetings with partners.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in a politically governed organization where the citizen is at the center and where it is required that you can navigate in complex contexts. We value that you contribute with engagement and a holistic view, work independently and in a structured manner, and share your knowledge – even when we are busy.

You are eager to take responsibility, develop and solve professional tasks with the citizen in focus.

About us

You will become part of the Legal Department, which advises the management and the administration on, among others, the Public Administration Act, the Health Act, the Social Services Act, the Elderly Act and other legislation related to our area of responsibility. We also support the political level, e.g., in connection with budget negotiations, political meetings and preparation of recommendations and statements.

The Legal Department currently consists of 13 staff, of which the social-law team comprises three lawyers and one student. The department is organizationally placed under the Center for Leadership and Communication. We are based in the Health and Care Administration’s central administration in Nørrebro – close to public transport.

We offer

  • independent responsibility and a broad insight into the administration's areas of responsibility
  • opportunity to work close to the decision-making processes
  • a social, dynamic and engaged work environment with good colleagues
  • flexible and family-friendly working conditions, including the possibility of homeworking
  • attractive staff benefits – read more at www.medarbejder.kk.dk
  • opportunity for skills development and participation in courses.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment conditions according to the current collective agreement and within the framework of local wage formation. The position will as a rule be classified as an administrative officer or senior consultant. The position is full-time, but temporary through and including December 31, 2027.

More information

For further information you can contact the Legal Head Niels Nicolai Nordstrøm at 24 92 70 25 or the Chief Consultant Claus Westh Sørensen at 21 83 31 42.

Apply via the link no later than Thursday, November 5, 2026

We expect to hold interviews in weeks 46 and 47.
