About the job

Job Description

Are you motivated by optimization and business-critical application operations, and do you have a good knowledge of Linux? Then you may be our Linux Operations Engineer for one of our Operations departments, where you will take a central role in the operation of some of Denmark's most exciting IT solutions.

Responsibilities and technologies

As our new Operations Engineer you will become part of Netcompany Operations, which is an operations department responsible for everything from application operations to handling infrastructure in two data centers. Here you will join a small team that focuses on optimization and application operations of large and complex Enterprise Linux solutions. We are involved in all parts of the process; from proposal writing and projects, to daily operations, troubleshooting and performance tuning.

The diversity of our clients ranges from smaller private companies to large public sector projects. You will take a central role and be the link between our development projects and the infrastructure team.

As Linux Operations Engineer you will among other things be assigned tasks and responsibilities within the following areas:

  • Establishment and operation of environments and applications based on Linux, Java, Oracle and other exciting technologies
  • Configuration, troubleshooting and optimization at a technically and professionally high level, where you take responsibility for a number of systems or technologies
  • Automation and optimization of daily operations tasks through scripts and programming languages
  • Participation in ongoing operations projects, where you take responsibility for tasks tailored to your experience

About you

We imagine that you

  • Are a graduate engineer, bachelor, master, or have a similar qualification level in IT.
  • Are newly graduated or have a couple of years of experience from a similar role.
  • Are motivated to deliver optimal business- and societally critical solutions.

Regardless of the above, you are encouraged to apply if you have other relevant educational background and/or professional experiences from a similar role.

It is a prerequisite for employment that you can obtain and maintain PET security clearance.

In addition you participate in our training program, Netcompany Academy, where you are offered courses and seminars on everything from technologies to customer handling. All courses are taught by experienced Netcompany colleagues, which helps ensure that all content is highly relevant and builds on your professionalism, so you are well equipped to perform different tasks and continually advance throughout your career with us.
