About the job

Pedagogue for Løgstrup Leisure and Youth Club

At Løgstrup School we have a fixed full-time position as a pedagogue in Løgstrup Leisure and Youth Club available for occupancy from January 1, 2027. The position also includes approximately seven hours in the school part.

Are you passionate about working with children and youth? Do you want to create strong relationships, take initiative and put your own mark on everyday life? Then it could be you we are looking for.

At Løgstrup Leisure and Youth Club the most important thing is that the chemistry fits. We believe that the best results are created when employees have the opportunity to bring their own competences, interests and ideas into play. In other words, you should want to be an active part of our community and develop the club’s offerings together with us, in a already well-functioning Club.

About us

Løgstrup Leisure and Youth Club is a place where children and youth meet around communities, activities and relationships. We work purposefully to create meaningful communities, where there is room for both activity, immersion and presence.

The club is physically located at Løgstrup School, which offers good physical modern facilities and attractive outdoor areas.

Løgstrup School is a 2-track public school located about 8 km northwest of Viborg. This school year the school has about 350 students from 0th to 9th grade. The school is also linked to a SFO with 140 children.

Today we are two employees who value close collaboration, humor in everyday life, and a shared ambition to create the best conditions for children and youth.

We are focused on developing our practice through dialogue with children and youth as well as conscious activity development. As a common professional approach, we work with the performance-free space which strengthens well-being, participation opportunities and inclusive communities. We want to create frameworks where children and young people can participate without the pressure to perform, but instead feel themselves as valuable participants in the community.

In our pedagogical practice we highly value the life resilience of children and youth as an essential pedagogical lever for us to succeed with the individual in the community.

What do we expect from you?

You are first and foremost a person who wants to be a meaningful adult in the lives of children and youth. You are proactive, relationship-building and thrive in a day where no two days are the same. You see opportunities rather than limitations and want to actively contribute to the community and the development of Løgstrup Leisure and Youth Club.

You are good at building relationships and meeting children and youth with curiosity, clarity and respect. You can both initiate activities and create room for calm, presence and immersion.

We expect that you will, in about seven hours in the school, engage in ad-hoc tasks in our middle years/upper primary, and in close collaboration with the teachers support the well-being of children and youths in the classes and in the broader community.

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Thrives in close relational work and can build strong relationships with children and youth.
  • Can sense when tempo needs to be raised and when there is a need for calm, presence and immersion.
  • Wants to take ownership of the club and help develop our offerings based on your own interests, competences and ideas.
  • Is good at approaching children and youth, even when they do not initiate contact themselves.
  • Can find the right balance between being inviting and present without becoming too intrusive. This balance is essential for succeeding as a pedagogue with us.
  • Dare to act on both spontaneous and planned ideas and translate them into activities, experiences and communities.
  • Has an eye for creating participation opportunities for all children and youth and actively contributes to strong, inclusive communities both in the club and in the school part.
  • An interest in nature, outdoors and movement activities is a plus, but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you want to bring your own strengths, interests and competences into play and help develop the club’s offerings.

We offer

  • A 37-hour position with great freedom to bring your competences and interests into play.
  • Opportunity to put your own mark on activities and the club’s development.
  • A small engaged colleague community with two other colleagues, where cooperation, professional reflection and good chemistry are valued highly.
  • A daily life with variety, responsibility and close contact with children and youth.
  • An workplace that is ambitious on behalf of children and youth and at the same time focused on ongoing development.

Working hours in the Club part are the starting point

  • Monday: 12:45-22:00
  • Tuesday: 12:45-17:00
  • Wednesday: 12:45-22:00
  • Thursday: 12:45-17:00
  • Friday: 13:00-16:00

In addition, evening work, overnight stays, trips and longer club days may be expected in connection with special events and activities. The hours in the school part will be placed in addition to Club time.

We look forward to welcoming new colleagues and look forward to receiving your application.
