Mårslet Skovbørnehus: Can you as an educational leader find your way when everyday life takes a new turn?

We are seeking a pedagogical leader who engages in the children's well-being and development, has trust in the staff's professionalism, and together with them sets the direction for the pedagogical practice.

In Mårslet Skovbørnehus you will have leadership responsibility for a children's house with its own rhythm, where pedagogy takes various forms – both in the bus kindergarten by Mariendal Strand and in the Children’s House in Mårslet.

We want a leader who is close to the children's everyday life, supports the staff's professionalism and gives room for initiatives. A leader who listens, makes decisions and follows up.

A TEAM THAT WANTS TO CONTRIBUTE

You meet employees who take responsibility, bring ideas into play and are happy to show their pedagogical practice. We spar with each other and are curious about how we can create even better days for the children.

Here there should be space to wonder, test ideas and say it out loud when you need new perspectives or tools. We have a wish for a leader who is interested in our pedagogical practice right out at the children, supports initiatives and stands by our side when everyday life presents obstacles.

You don't need to have all the answers, but you must dare to engage in professional conversations and help translate reflections into action.

PEDAGOGY WITH A FOCUS ON THE CHILDREN

At Skovbørnehuset our pedagogical practice starts from the knowledge we continuously gain through Daycare for all, and in the neuroaffective approach, which is the common professional foundation in the daycare. We plan learning environments with a view to each child's prerequisites and opportunities for participation, well-being and development. At the same time we work to strengthen our systematic evaluation culture.

As a leader you must hold fast to the pedagogical direction and help us translate professional reflections into action. We want to give the opportunity for you to put your own mark on the development and drive it forward in close interaction with the staff and based on our shared professional foundation.

You should also have an eye for the particular conditions in a house where 4-5-year-old kindergarten children are in the bus kindergarten every weekday, and where the days call for flexibility and pragmatic solutions.

We are also in the process of looking at how the transition from nursery to kindergarten can be smoother through closer collaboration. This is one of the development tasks you will help carry forward.

WHO ARE YOU?

We imagine that you

• have experience with pedagogical work with children aged 0-6 – preferably also leadership experience
• are concerned with the children's well-being and development and are interested in the pedagogical practice
• can create structure and direction without losing sight of the daily changing conditions
• have trust in the staff, can delegate and follow up
• have courage to bring yourself, your perspectives and your professional engagement into play – and at the same time are curious about others.

Knowledge of nature pedagogy is an advantage, but most importantly you want to learn Skovbørnehus's practice and special conditions.

STAY THE COURSE WHEN DAILY LIFE SHIFTS DIRECTION

You are responsible for daily operations across the kindergarten in Mårslet and the bus kindergarten in Mariendal. It requires overview, prioritization and follow-up – also when plans must be adjusted along the way.

You will not be alone with the tasks. The staff group shares responsibility for everyday life, and in the house we have an AMR, a professional beacon and a deputy with special functions. The daycare's resource pedagogue also contributes with professional sparring and concrete tasks.

You must be able to bring the different competences into play, distribute responsibility and ensure clarity about tasks and roles.

YOU WILL BE PART OF A LEADERSHIP TEAM

As the leader at Mårslet Skovbørnehus you will become part of the Solbjerg-Mårslet Daycare leadership team. Here we share knowledge, spar and help each other translate shared ambitions into action in daily life.

Our daycare leader has many years of leadership experience and meets you with trust, presence and good humor. You can seek sparring and support from her and expect clear direction in your leadership.

SALARY AND EMPLOYMENT

The position is a full-time role with no maximum working time. Salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement and local pay agreement made with the relevant trade organization. The annual salary is approx. 530,884 DKK excluding pension. In addition, there are qualification allowances for specific educations per the local pay agreement.

Mental skill tests and personality tests will be used in the recruitment process. The tests take place in weeks 43/44 during daytime. Second interview round will be held on 28.10.2026 in the afternoon.
