Mastery Counselors for Mastery & Opportunities

Mastery and Opportunities in the Labour Market & Social, Skanderborg Municipality, are seeking two mastery counselors with employment from 1 January 2027.

There are a permanent position of 37 hours per week plus a parental leave substitution of 30 hours per week, possibly higher hours upon request.

The target group for services from the mastery counselors is citizens with mental and/or social challenges who need a supportive effort to be able to master their own life. We work recovery-oriented with a focus on the citizens' resources and based on their goals and dreams.

The department is part of Labor Market and Social, and therefore it is natural that we have a strong focus on education and work as part of our social interventions. We thus have close collaboration across, where the mastery counselors' task is also to support citizens' participation in employment-oriented offers, education or work.

In Mastery and Opportunities we work deliberately and purposefully to develop our professionality and we are in continuous development both individually and in a collective. We have an informal tone and place a high value on our professional and collegial community both in the department and across the entire Labor Market and Social.

Digital solutions are becoming an increasingly larger part of our tasks, why good digital prerequisites and openness to new systems are important. You must be prepared to use digital solutions relevant to your task solution, as these are under ongoing development.

We are looking for a colleague who

• Has a relevant social-science education, e.g. pedagogue, occupational therapist, social worker or similar
• Has experience working with citizens with mental health challenges
• Works from the recovery-oriented rehabilitative approach
• Can work in an unpredictable everyday life, where you must plan your own time and tasks
• Is adaptable to changes in both work tasks and ongoing changes in the organization
• Has good communication skills, orally as well as in writing, including a focus on ongoing documentation in the work
• Can create a professional, trusting and egalitarian collaboration with citizens, colleagues and partners
• Contributes positively to the common working environment
• Has a driving license for a car (a requirement)
