Mathematics teacher at Bjørnehøjskolen

Would you like to help give children a good and safe start to their school life? And can you make mathematics come alive, investigative and meaningful for the pupils?

At Bjørnehøjskolen we are looking for an engaged and present teacher who can take responsibility for mathematics teaching in the early years and lower/middle grades. We are looking for you who have high academic ambitions on behalf of the students and at the same time know that learning, well-being and good relationships are closely connected.

Furthermore, if you have experience with or education in AKT, that will be a significant advantage.

The position is, as a rule, full-time with start as soon as possible but no later than 1 January 2027.

About the position

Your primary task will be to create motivating and safe mathematics teaching for the students in the early years. You must be able to translate academic goals into varied teaching where the students have the opportunity to explore, collaborate, move, and experience that they succeed.

Your tasks will include, among others

• teaching in mathematics
• close collaboration with teachers, pedagogues, resource persons and management
• participation in work on the students’ well-being and the classes’ sense of community
• a trusting and clear collaboration with the parents
• possible guidance or resource tasks within AKT, inclusion or well-being depending on your competences

At Bjørnehøjskolen we work with variation, immersion and coherence in the school day. We aim, among other things, for parallel-scheduled hours in mathematics and teaching, which take the students’ different academic and personal prerequisites into account.

Additionally we prioritize many hours with 2 adults in our early years.

Appointment is made in accordance with the current agreement for teachers between KL and DLF (OK 50.01) and Gribskov Municipality’s salary policy. You can read the agreement at www.kl.dk
