Would you like to help make a difference for young people who need an alternative to traditional schooling?

Haderslev Youth School's department in Vojens is seeking a committed and relationship-oriented teacher with competencies in mathematics and preferably English for our full-time teaching. You will teach and build strong relationships with young people who, for various reasons, do not thrive in the ordinary public school. We believe that all young people have strengths that can be developed when they are met with clear frameworks, presence, and academic expectations.

About the target group

Our students are typically between 14-17 years old and need a school day with clear boundaries, supportive and authentic adults, and teaching that is based on their reality. We work with the whole person – and the relationship is the key to both well-being and academic development.

Much more information can be found here on our website .

  • is good at seeing and highlighting the positives in each student
  • has relationship skills and an appreciative approach
  • is flexible, curious and ready to think differently
  • rests in their own practice and can maintain structure in pressured situations.

We offer you

  • a workplace with high professional standards and a strong collegial community
  • opportunity to make a real difference in young people's lives
  • a daily life with room for ideas, humor and development
  • close collaboration with counselors, mentors and management.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a full-time role of 37 hours with start on 1 January 2027.
