Mechanic at LEGO

Step into R&D Processing at LEGO, where you will be responsible for inventing and developing unique machines for the packaging area. Here you will have the freedom to build solutions from scratch in a 3-month temporary position with the possibility of permanent employment, where a flexible 4-day workweek on day shifts is a possibility.

Your tasks

In the R&D Processing department you will be met with a daily routine where tasks rarely have a predefined right answer. Here you are allowed to use both your mechanical skills in a large project, where you must think creatively and develop solutions from scratch.

• You conceive and build specialized machines that optimize daily operations in LEGO's packaging areas.
• You assemble and test precision mechanics with your own hands, so you physically feel and understand the equipment you create.
• You adjust components and low voltage to precisely map cause and effect in the new systems.
• You drive your own development tasks forward from the first good idea to the finished, running solution.

Your profile

You have a strong technical curiosity and a deep understanding of how mechanics and electronics go together. You love to use your hands and have a practical approach to problem solving that enables you to understand complex interconnections, even when you don't have a recipe to follow.

• You have a solid mechanical or electrical background, for example as a fine mechanic, automation mechanic, machine operator, automation technician, industrial electrician or similar.
• You have solid experience with mechanical assembly.
• You have strong practical experience using your hands to build and assemble technical equipment.
• You have a good fundamental understanding of precision mechanics and low voltage.
• You are able to test functions in practice and can see how small adjustments affect the whole.

As a person you thrive with a high degree of freedom and you do not get discouraged by the fact that the path to the goal isn't paved in advance. You work focused and persistent on your tasks, and you are motivated by the professional pride of seeing your equipment work perfectly in production.
