About us

You will become part of the HR Partner Section for the Danish Armed Forces Operational Support Command (OSK), which consists of a section chief and 12 skilled colleagues. We are part of the Defense Personnel Command, and anchored in the Center for Careers and HR Advisory. We are physically located in Brabrand near Aarhus, but support authorities distributed across the country.

Knowledge sharing and collaboration are prioritized high – both internally in the section, across the HR partner structure and in cooperation with the rest of the Personnel Command. In the section it is also important that we respect each other’s differences, work well together and bring the various areas of expertise into play. You will therefore have the opportunity to help set the direction and shape your own position.

About the position

The HR Partner Section's task is to support the top management in the Operational Support Command and the four underlying authorities (Joint Movement & Transportation Organization, Defence Supply Service, Defence Health Capacity and Defence Maintenance Service) within the overall HR area.

In our portfolio we have the Armed Forces' needs and core tasks at the center. Your tasks will therefore be a dynamic element requiring a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

In collaboration with colleagues you solve development tasks and prioritized operational tasks within a advisory HR scope. You provide HR advice to the executive group, development of HR processes and a broad spectrum of ad hoc tasks within personnel management and handling. Depending on your interest and experience you also handle tasks such as Talent Development, New salary, exit interview, leadership evaluation and much more.

Implementation of the Defence’s new staffing system is also part of the task portfolio in the section. The tasks in this respect are varied and cover, among other things, mapping positions, including the development and maintenance of career paths as well as guidance and training of managers, leaders and employees in the use of dialogue-based career plans.

As our authorities are geographically anchored across Denmark, you must be prepared to travel. At present it is difficult to specify the number of days on the road, but we can promise you that you will have great influence on planning your days.

About you

We imagine you have an academic background. You have solid experience in the HR field, where you have worked with HR advisory or personnel management. Knowledge of the Defence organization would be an advantage, but not a requirement. Alternatively it would be an advantage if you have worked in a politically governed organization, as you would thereby gain insight into public administration frameworks, forms of cooperation and workflows.

Employment terms

The appointment is made in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of professional associations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement)

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiating allowances. There is an employer-financed pension scheme tied to the position.

The workplace is in Brabrand.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the clearance during the entire employment.

You as an employee have a duty to render service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace enforcement, humanitarian and other similar operations.
