Come and join us in elevating the tasks in the environmental area. Furesø Municipality is looking for a dedicated student assistant with an interest in the environmental area.

We are looking for a student assistant who will try their hand at the provisions within the environmental area. You will also become familiar with the provisions of the Administrative Act.

You will become part of the Nature and Environment Department with 13 staff members, who work broadly within nature, environment, soil contamination, groundwater and drinking water, wastewater, countryside, nature reserves, EIA, waste and heating planning. We are a small municipality where there is not far between professional groups and where cross-functional collaboration is an important part of the culture.

We are therefore seeking a new student assistant who, with their infectious engagement, focuses on dialogue and good collaboration. This applies to both colleagues among themselves, and when we work with external partners and citizens.

Your tasks will primarily lie within

• Answering inquiries from real estate agents and citizens about oil tanks and sewer conditions
• Soil relocation cases
• Construction waste and waste inspection
• Soakaway permits
• Updating submissions to the Building and Housing Register (BBR) about oil tanks and heat pumps
• Assistance with access to documents

Depending on your profile you will also help with tasks broadly within the nature and environmental area

Who are you?

We imagine that you are currently pursuing a relevant higher education degree in the environmental field and have at least 2-3 years left. You are keen on and interested in public administration, and in working in a political system. You would like to learn more about the legislation within the environmental area.

We will provide thorough training and will try to incorporate the skills you bring from your studies.

You thrive in office work, where you help process applications under the relevant legislation. You work with good humor and a focus on the goal and help ensure that we collectively arrive at good solutions. As a communicator, you are able to put yourself in the recipient's mindset, and you articulate yourself well in writing and speech – regardless of the audience.

The most important thing is that you want to work with the environmental legislation in Furesø Municipality together with your new colleagues.
