We are looking for you who want to be a significant adult for the children in our Nest classes at Vallerødskolen.

Then it is you we are looking for!

Vallerødskolen is seeking 1 educator/full-time for a permanent position and 1 maternity cover who will be involved in the continued development of NEST at Vallerødskolen.

NEST is the term for an educational practice where children with ASD or autism-like challenges and children from the mainstream are part of the same class community. The classes are composed of 12 children from the school district and 4 children who are admitted to a Nest place.

In Nest we work according to the principles of Co-Teaching, and we have a continuous focus on structure, visual support and predictability. We also focus on your and your colleagues' professional development, and therefore you will receive ongoing competency development and supervision, as well as participating in team meetings and joint preparation meetings with a focus on Nest principles. We work targeted at the children's challenges and well-being throughout the school day. This applies both in teaching and in the after-school program (SFO).

The position consists of hours in the school part and in SFO – also during school holiday days.

We are looking for a staff member who

• is a trained educator, preferably with experience from the special education field
• is curious and investigative about their own practice
• is professionally well-founded, structured and clear in their actions and communication with students, colleagues, management, PPR and parents
• stands solid in relational work
• is proactive in incorporating relevant knowledge from e.g. pedagogical notes and PPVs
• works systematically with action plans
• contributes positively to the collegial and professional community at the school

You will become part of an active school and SFO with a good community, fantastic surroundings, where we are close to forest and beach, good facilities and a well-functioning collaboration across professional groups.

Vallerødskolen is a two-to-three-track school with an SFO, located in scenic surroundings. Right now the school has about 500 students and 90 staff who all work from the school's three values Community, engagement and professionalism.

Salary

In accordance with the EU pay transparency directive, applicants have the right to know the starting salary/salary range for the open position: The position will be placed according to the Municipality of Hørsholm's pre-agreement with BUPL. The base salary for newly trained educators starts at salary grade 31 and currently amounts to 33,467.50 DKK per month excluding pension, and at grade 35 (more than 10 years of experience) 37,883.57 DKK/month excluding pension. Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is an opportunity for negotiating allowances.
