Responsibilities and technologies

Netcompany Operations is a well-established operations organization, responsible for everything from societal- and business-critical application operations to handling infrastructure in two state-of-the-art data centers.

As a Network Engineer you will be part of the network team, which is part of our overall Infrastructure team. You will work with the daily operation and maintenance of Netcompany's Cisco network as well as network administration, establishment, troubleshooting and expansions of our customer solutions. We operate our own installations - both hosting environments and enterprise environments - and have network tasks directly at our customers.

You will handle exciting and challenging tasks across all parts of the network, including LAN, WiFi and networks in Netcompany's modern data centers. Our strategic aim is a Cisco infrastructure spanning from ACI over ASR and ISR edge routers to UCS server environments. On the security side, we use both Cisco and Fortinet firewalls and work intensively with technologies such as IPS and DDoS protection.

Your primary tasks will include, among others

• Expansion and maintenance of our global administrative network (LAN)
• Tasks within network security via firewalls and related security technologies
• Maintenance of network monitoring and log collection via Orion and Splunk
• Tasks within routing, switching, ACI and WLC
• Close collaboration with specialists within server, storage and backup

About you

To succeed in the role of Network Engineer you should be technically inclined and possess curiosity so you can contribute to tasks in our hosting environments, Netcompany Enterprise LAN/WAN as well as tasks directly at our customers. You may have a couple of years of experience from a similar role, where you have been involved in network operations.

In addition we envision that you

• Are a diplomingeniør, bachelor, kandidat, or have a similar qualification level within IT.
• Have a couple of years of experience from a similar position.
• Are motivated by delivering optimal business- and society-critical solutions.

It is a condition of employment that you can obtain and maintain PET security clearance.
