Some children and young people need an adult nearby – also at night. An adult who can create security, maintain calm, and be attentive to the small signals. An adult who can act when needs arise, and who can also allow the child or young person to have a good and safe night.

About Solbo

Solbo is Silkeborg Municipality's 24-hour and respite care for children and young people with permanently reduced physical and mental function.

In a night shift at Solbo there are, as a rule, four awake fixed night shifts who rotate between our 24-hour department Mælkebøtten, Kastanjen, the respite care, and a floating night shift.

We are seeking 1 fixed night shift .

As a night shift you will become an important part of the fixed team around the children and the young people. You work closely with your colleagues and contribute to the children experiencing continuity and recognizability – also when they wake up at night.

A night with calm, presence and responsibility

The nights at Solbo vary.

Some nights are quiet, where your main task is to create a calm and safe framework around the sleeping children. Other nights there may be children or youths who wake up, need help or have difficulty finding rest again.

Therefore you must be able to be present and caring, while also maintaining an overview and acting calmly when something changes.

Your tasks may include

• creating safety and calm around the children and the young people
• being attentive to changes in well-being, sleep and behavior
• supporting children and youths who wake up or need help
• performing personal care and practical tasks
• carrying out relevant health-related tasks, which you will be introduced to

Practical

The position is 37 hours per week with night shifts and weekend shifts scheduled in the period from 21:00 to 07:00.

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and the local salary agreement.
