NK Care is seeking healthcare professionals for shifts with a 5-year-old child.

Since we lack help to cover some shifts, both day and night, we are seeking a new helper for shifts with a 5-year-old child in a private home, with severe brain injury and spastic cerebral palsy.

The workplace is in a private home located in Frederikshavn Municipality.

The job is a temporary position. Day shifts typically run from 7:00 to 16:30 and night shifts from 22:00 to 07:00. Note that the night shift is a waking night shift. There are 2 shifts per week that are 12 hours long. Additionally, some weekends will have both 12-hour day shifts and 12-hour night shifts.

There are already some fixed available shifts, on average 12 hours per week, and in addition there will be hours when there is vacation and sickness in the fixed team.

He attends a special kindergarten 3 days a week.

We are seeking an experienced health-care professional; the health-care tasks consist of monitoring and assistance with respiratory challenges. Work involves suction, enteral feeding, CPAP, medication, and epilepsy. Help relieve large muscle tensions as well as dystonias.

A large part of the task is rehabilitation of muscles and joints as well as developing new learning through play, activation and silliness.

Among others activated through a swing, gait trainer, tickling and sensory play.

His interests: light show / disco, speed, encouraging words, 0/1 contact and music.

A happy boy, with developmental potential, if the energy is put into it, and shows great response and clearly tells what he wants and does not want.

We are seeking a lively and cheerful person who wants to give the child a fun, dignified and meaningful life. Someone who dares to step in when acute situations arise (including respiratory or dystonias) as the child does not have the skills himself.

The training will have a steep learning curve, which you must be prepared for.
