Nurse for the heart clinic where professionalism and development go hand in hand

Are you up for an exciting workplace with many subspecialties within heart disease and a large patient flow? We are 22 permanently employed clinical nurses and we place high value on both independence and close cross-disciplinary collaboration with the doctors.

We are seeking nurses for 37 hours/week in permanent positions.

The tasks are diverse and will reflect the experience you bring. Basic tasks will include assisting with various heart examinations, placing and reading cardiac monitoring. There are many specialized nursing tasks in the clinic such as PM implantation, PM control, echo, heart failure controls, cardiac rehabilitation. In the department we work a lot with the development of the individual specialties and there is a strong focus on digitalisation.

We expect that you are

• A trained nurse, preferably with at least 3 years of cardiology experience
• Cardiology-fundamental and preferably with experience within the mentioned specialized tasks
• Flexible, engaged and able to collaborate across disciplines
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
• Have a positive approach to the tasks, even when it is busy

About the department

Working hours are predominantly weekdays between 7:30-16:00. Weekend shifts may be expected about every 6 weeks in the department’s inpatient ward as well as some weekdays in connection with summer holidays. The clinic is divided over two sites, Viborg and Skive. Shifts at both sites should be expected.

The Cardiology ward has space for 29 patients, and we primarily care for patients with heart diseases. We receive referred patients for elective examinations and treatments, but the vast majority of patients are acute and admitted directly to the ward. The ward is divided into 2 groups with assigned patient care. The staff group consists mainly of nurses.

Every morning on weekdays there is ward teaching, whereby staff competencies are kept up to date and developed.

We have both students and trainees in the ward. In addition, we participate in training of apprentice nurses.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the field.

In connection with the Act on Child Identity Papers in relation to employment of staff etc., a child identity check will be obtained in connection with potential employment.

Employment is with the Central Denmark Region (Region Midtjylland) with service initially at the Central Denmark Region Hospitals Unit, read more about the overall hospital unit here.
