About the job

Are you passionate about creating secure relationships in short patient contacts? Do you enjoy working closely in multidisciplinary teams in an operating room where technology and compassionate nursing go hand in hand? Are you eager to develop your skills in a highly specialized field in cardiology? Do you want to be part of the Nordic region's largest cardiology laboratory? Then this position is for you!

We are looking for a new colleague for the Nordic region's largest Cardiological Laboratory at Rigshospitalet, on 01.06.26 or by agreement, for our structural team.

About us

The Heart Center Capital Region Rigshospitalet is the Nordic region's largest invasive cardiology department and will eventually consolidate all invasive treatment for the entire Region of Capital. We are a highly specialized cardiology ward with 16 operating rooms spread across two campuses at Rigshospitalet and Gentofte Hospital.

We work in teams that handle diagnostic and treatment of both acute, elective, and subacute patients treated for coronary artery disease, heart valves, congenital heart defects, ICD and pacemaker implantations, as well as arrhythmias. We are in constant development, where new treatment pathways and methods are implemented and we continuously work to optimize our workflow for patient benefit in close collaboration with the inpatient wards.

In the structural team, we work with elective and acute patients in an international working environment, with the installation of new heart valves. Most patients are awake during the procedure, and therefore we as nurses have a very important role for the patients during the procedures by providing high professional nursing care. We are a mixed staff group with many experienced nurses.

We offer

  • An workplace with a ‘high ceiling’
  • Individualized training program with clinical buddy
  • An exciting and challenging workplace focusing on high professionalism, development and competence – including the region's cardiology education
  • Extensive research activity for both nurses and doctors
  • Focus on you, including your mental and physical health, e.g. we offer massage
  • Good colleagues who value high professionalism, immersion and development, combined with humor and social interaction.
  • A position where we primarily work day shifts with occasional late days and on-call shifts from home after training, as well as weekend shifts about every 4 weeks.

We are seeking a nurse who

  • Has experience with cardiology or wants to learn something new
  • Wants to work with short patient pathways, both acute and elective, where nursing is in focus
  • Has the physical capacity to wear a lead apron, which is a requirement in the Cardiological Laboratory
  • Can keep an overview – even when things are moving quickly and there are many balls in the air
  • Pride in delivering good and compassionate nursing where the relationship is the central element
  • Wants to actively contribute to our good working environment, where we help each other and view diversity and humor as a great strength in everyday life

The position is located on the Rigshospitalet campus, but as part of the Heart Center Capital Region there is good opportunity in the long term to work at both Rigshospitalet's and Gentofte's campuses if you see opportunities in that. The position starts from 01.01.26 or by agreement and weekly hours are agreed individually.
