About the job

Do you have a legal background that you would like to spice up with a generalist approach? Are you good at juggling many balls and seeing tasks and cases from a cross-cutting perspective? Are you good at expressing yourself both in writing and orally? And do you thrive in a day-to-day where no two days are the same, but there is always room for a good laugh? Then you may be our new colleague in the Management Secretariat in the Legal Department in the Danish Tax Agency.

An exciting and diverse daily life

We offer an exciting and diverse daily life in an office where the tasks are varied, but all are characterized by being the organizational glue. You will have the opportunity to unfold your organizational understanding and apply your basic legal knowledge, just as you will work closely with the Tax Agency's Legal Director and the rest of the leadership group.

The Management Secretariat is the entry into the Legal Department and therefore spans a broad range of tasks. Examples of tasks can include:

  • Coordination of and follow-up on orders across the agency or the department, e.g., orders from the ministry or internal orders, which range from contributions to responses to parliamentary questions, considerations of tax-legal fundamental issues, and HR-related questions
  • Coordination and compilation of law hearings
  • Preparation of commented agendas for leadership meetings with stakeholders, etc.
  • Quality assurance of formalities in cases for the Director of Juras

We offer you challenging tasks with a high degree of autonomous work planning, and you will experience becoming part of a team with skilled and responsible colleagues, where emphasis is placed on professional sparring. Your core task will be to coordinate and follow up on cases, while you will also gain insight into both tax-related and framework-setting legal rules.

You will become part of a rotating duty schedule, where you approximately 1-2 times per week must be present between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The shifts are planned well in advance so you can arrange yourself accordingly. You will also, to a limited extent, have to follow cases to completion outside normal working hours. It is also important for us to support flexible working conditions when tasks permit.

Business-oriented with a sense for law

You have a relevant advanced degree such as cand.jur., cand.merc.jur or an equivalent social science education. You have a strong interest and understanding of working in a political organization, and you are motivated by creating structure, overview and progress, and good relationships, and you have an interest in management support and governance. Law is your foundation, but you want to develop yourself as a generalist.

It is an advantage if you have several years of experience with the mentioned tasks, but newly graduated with relevant experience from student jobs may also be considered. Whether you are experienced or newly graduated, we place great importance on a good introductory program.

To thrive and succeed in the role, it is advantageous if you are

  • independent and proactive and can maintain an overview when there are many tasks and tight deadlines, as well as curious about an organization that is large and diverse
  • skilled at writing, and able to quickly grasp new material and see connections and cross-cutting challenges
  • approachable and good at collaborating across disciplinary and organizational boundaries
  • able to plan and manage processes with many contributors and stakeholders.

We are ambitious, and we solve our tasks based on our different areas of expertise and we include each other’s competencies to achieve the best possible results.
