Occupational Therapist for a newly created position in Training North in Favrskov Municipality

We are seeking an occupational therapist for an exciting, newly established position, based at our health centre in Hadsten. The position is intended to be filled by January 1, 2027, and is initially 37 hours per week. However, a lower number of hours can be agreed with the right candidate.

You will become part of Training North, and a health professional community in the health centre, with a training team, activities department and health team. The occupational therapists in Favrskov will move somewhat according to the tasks, so there will periodically be tasks in other areas of the municipality. As an occupational therapist in Training North, you will work with a wide range of municipal training tasks - both at our nursing homes and other institutions, in the citizen's own home and in the health centre.

You will work with rehabilitation after hand surgery, dysphagia, assessments and training in the use of assistive devices, assessment and training of ADL functions, etc. You will, among other things, undertake these tasks at our new nursing home, Vinterslev, which is opening progressively toward the turn of the year, with 10 temporary housing units and 20 nursing home apartments. The total capacity will increase over the coming years to 60.

The work generally takes place in close interdisciplinary collaboration with other health care professionals, and staff in other municipal areas.

We are looking for an experienced occupational therapist who can do a bit of everything, and who particularly:

• Has experience and extensive knowledge of assessment and treatment of dysphagia - preferably also for citizens with head/neck cancer.
• Thrives in a varied and autonomous workday where tasks are wide-ranging.
• Has experience and knowledge of the hand surgical area.
• Is interested in, and has a broad general knowledge of assistive devices.
• Has good health-pedagogical competencies, and can motivate and create good relations to the often vulnerable citizens.
• Is skilled at prioritizing and executing daily tasks.
• Brings good humor and a strong work identity to daily work.
