On-call substitutes (care and pedagogical assistants) for the residential and day services at Grøndalsvænge in Copenhagen North West

We are looking for on-call substitutes who want to work in day, evening and weekend shifts.

Grøndalsvænge has lively and unique residents

The residents all have psychological and physical disabilities and need help and support in daily life in various ways. Several residents have major physical disabilities and receive support for care, communication and activities aimed at an independent life. The residents need extensive pedagogical support and care as well as health care and treatment.

Grøndalsvænge is located in Copenhagen NV near Fuglebakken Station. We have an internal day service, a wonderful sensory garden, and we regularly have exciting activities and experiences for the residents, including Easter lunch, a holiday week with activities and excursions, etc.

Everyday life at Grøndalsvænge – your tasks

You will work together with pedagogues, care assistants and colleagues with a health background. Together you will create good, meaningful lives for 48 lively and unique people aged 40-80 years.

We all work pedagogically and solve many of the same tasks. You will become part of a culture where we focus on further developing the social-pedagogical efforts, and you will among other things receive sparring from our social-pedagogical and health care coordinators.

Our theoretical framework is neuropedagogy. Based on pedagogical observations, we go behind the resident's behavior and seek to understand what it means for the individual to display this particular behavior.

About you

You are good at contributing and collaborating in the workplace, have a willingness for diverse tasks, and a desire to give the residents at Grøndalsvænge a meaningful life. You may possibly be a student and want a job related to your studies.

Since the residents need calm, structure and stability in a familiar daily life, you create safe conditions with attention to the individual resident. You thrive in an environment where fixed routines as well as clear and purposeful communication are part of practice. There can also, when the residents wish, be room for fun and games, baking, Friday bar or games.

• I would like to document, because it is our way of confirming the resident's life and development
• I act, which also means that I sometimes fail – a good workplace with a skilled leader is for me a place where we dare to fail and speak openly about it, so we learn from it
• I do not view pedagogy only as walks in the forest or creative workshops, it also includes bathing situations and personal care tasks with the residents
• I am stable and responsible

What you will get with us

We actively work with the introduction of new employees, which you will also notice if you start with us. You will shadow a colleague in intro shifts, which means you get time to learn tasks, residents and the rhythm of the house. Terms of employment

You are hired as an on-call substitute and offered shifts when our permanent staff are absent. There will be opportunities for day, evening, night and weekend shifts. Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement for pedagogical staff.
