Operational and Strategic Procurement Manager

With reference to the company's COO, we are seeking an operational strategic Head of Procurement for a globally market-leading niche company that develops, produces and delivers advanced digital solutions worldwide. You will have management responsibility for one employee and join the company's leadership team. In addition, you will be responsible for further developing the company's procurement and logistics function and ensuring ongoing development, digitalization, and optimization of the department.

A broad range of tasks

The position spans from strategic to operational tasks.

Responsibilities and tasks include, among others

• identification and sourcing of new components and suppliers
• collaboration with the development department on new products and adaptations
• analyses, development and optimization of the strategic procurement and logistics function
• consolidation and development of the supplier portfolio
• negotiation of strategic procurement agreements.
• Inventory value – a continuous focus so that the value reflects the actual production volume and needs.

In addition to the strategic tasks, you will, together with your team in the department, have a hands-on role anchored in operations, where you ensure that components are available at the right time and with the right quality and at the right price. You work closely with both production, quality, and development and become a central sparring partner across the organization.

The daily life is characterized by many parallel tasks and requires you to create structure and maintain an overview – even when changes or challenges arise in the supply chain.

An excerpt of your and the department's tasks will include

• ensuring timely procurement based on forecast and production needs
• continuous follow-up on orders, deliveries and deviations
• maintenance and quality assurance of master data in the ERP system
• close dialogue with suppliers about delivery, quality and terms
• collaboration with internal stakeholders across the organization
• participation in supplier follow-up and quality assurance

You will become part of an organization where procurement is an integrated part of the company's full value chain, and where your work has a direct impact on the company's performance.

We are looking for

a Head of Procurement who thrives in a technical organization, who can work strategically, pay attention to the details in operations, and at the same time has an eye for improvements.

As a person, you work analytically, structured, and naturally take ownership of your tasks. You are curious, positive, and good at collaborating.

We anticipate that you have a degree as an electronics engineer, and also

• have experience from a procurement function in a manufacturing company with electronic production
• have understanding of and knowledge about electronic components
• work in a structured and disciplined manner
• are analytical and data-driven in your decisions
• communicate fluently in Danish and English
• have experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP or AX.

As a person you are persistent and solution-oriented. You follow your tasks through to completion and thrive in a role where you must coordinate, collaborate, and take responsibility.

Location

The company is located in Southern Denmark. We are seeking a leader who is present in day-to-day life. You should expect 15-20 days of travel per year, depending on needs and tasks.
