About the job

Can you create structure, lead employees, and ensure that agreements are followed through to the letter? At CMD Facility Services we are seeking a operations manager who will take overall responsibility for our daily operations.

We deliver cleaning and facility services to corporate clients and are looking for an operations manager who can tie together the threads across employees, customers, and locations.

Your main task will be to ensure well-organized operations with stable staffing, clear work plans, and consistent quality. You should be able to plan ahead, prioritize the day’s tasks, and follow up until they are resolved.

You will be based at our office at Hauser Plads 10, Copenhagen K, close to Nørreport, but a significant part of the work takes place with customers and employees onsite.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and structure

  • Create and maintain an overview of locations, staffing, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Develop work schedules and ensure that employees know their tasks and areas of responsibility.
  • Plan quality checks, training, and replenishment of materials.
  • Distribute tasks and systematically follow up on outstanding items.
  • Provide management with a brief weekly overview of results, challenges, and upcoming priorities.

Staffing and personnel management

  • Recruit cleaning staff, conduct interviews, and coordinate hires.
  • Ensure thorough onboarding and follow up on new employees’ work.
  • Hold employee conversations about quality, well-being, and expectations.
  • Handle illness, vacation, and staff changes so that tasks continue to be covered.
  • Check and approve employee hours, check-ins, and documentation.

Quality and customer contact

  • Carry out quality controls at locations and ensure that improvement points are resolved.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries and manage challenges in daily delivery.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers about quality, changes, and practical matters.
  • Ensure that cleaning is performed according to the agreed work description and within the planned hours.

Start-up of new customers and locations

  • Plan start-ups in close collaboration with sales and management.
  • Ensure that staffing, work descriptions, cleaning frequency, and equipment are in place before start-up.
  • Coordinate keys, access conditions, and instructions to the employees.
  • Participate in site walkthroughs and onboarding of employees.
  • Follow up after start-up and ensure relevant photo documentation.

Materials and practical operations

  • Plan procurement and replenishment of cleaning agents and consumables.
  • Ensure that equipment functions and is suitable for the tasks.
  • Coordinate deliveries and material changes across locations.
  • Handle urgent operational problems and, if needed, assist with practical tasks.

Our operations include locations in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, so you should be prepared to travel for customer start-ups, quality control, and follow-up.

WHO ARE YOU?

You have experience in operations management and personnel responsibility, preferably from cleaning, facility services, or another business with employees at multiple locations.

You work in a structured and independent manner. You create an overview, make decisions, and follow up without needing reminders. When a task is postponed, you ensure a new plan and a clear person responsible.

You are also a visible leader who can set clear requirements and meet employees and customers properly. You thrive with both administration and practical work and can keep an overview when a sick leave or an urgent customer task alters the day’s plan.

We also expect that you

  • Have a driving license.
  • Are familiar with digital planning and registration systems.
  • Can communicate clearly in Danish and English.
  • Understand the link between quality, time consumption, and economics.

WE OFFER

  • A full-time position with the overall responsibility for daily operations.
  • Close cooperation with management and influence on how the operations are organized.
  • Opportunity to improve workflows and create a clear structure.
  • A varied everyday life with personnel leadership, customer contact, and site visits.
  • Salary according to experience and qualifications.

Working hours are planned with the operations in mind. There will be a need for flexibility for customer start-ups, travel, and urgent situations.
