About the job

Do you want to work with advanced orthopedic surgery in a strong professional community where collaboration, development and patient safety go hand in hand? At the Orthopedic Surgery Operating Room, OP North 2, we are seeking new colleagues for permanent employment from January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. We are looking for both you with experience as an operating room nurse and you who are a nurse and motivated to learn the orthopedic surgical operating specialty. There is the possibility of on-call freedom if you are an experienced operating nurse.

A specialty with great variation

With us you will become part of a highly specialized orthopedic surgical operating department with broad professional scope and a daily life where there are rarely two identical days. We have both short and long procedures and work closely across disciplines to ensure high quality, patient safety and the best possible treatment for the patient. Therefore you will experience working with everything from same-day surgery to very complex patient pathways.

We work among others with

  • trauma surgery
  • spine surgery
  • hip surgery
  • shoulder and elbow surgery
  • foot and ankle surgery
  • revision surgery
  • pediatric orthopedics
  • infection surgery
  • fracture surgery
  • foot and ankle surgery
  • revision surgery
  • reconstructions
  • tumor surgery
  • tissue donations.

Who are we?

We are about 40 operating room nurses spread across eight operating rooms and nine specialties. Here you will meet engaged colleagues with high professionalism, great experience and a strong camaraderie.

We prioritize

  • an individualized training with three mentors and a training supervisor
  • a safe learning environment in both day shifts and evening shifts
  • high professional quality
  • helpfulness and sparring in daily life across disciplines
  • good collegiality and good humor.

Your training will primarily take place during daytime, but if you wish, we can also find training days in the evening shifts, where there is typically a bit more calm on the department and thus better time to go through different principles. We are a 24-hour staffed department, where most colleagues carry on-call duties. However, there is a possibility for no on-call duties or to have a reduced number of shifts when you get there.

We imagine that you

  • are a nurse – preferably with operating room experience or an interest in operations
  • have an interest in the orthopedic surgical specialty
  • thrive in an environment with high professionalism and close collaboration across specialties and disciplines
  • want to learn new things and develop your competencies
  • contribute positively to collaboration and the work environment.

The most important for us is not whether you can do everything from the start – but that you are motivated and curious about the specialty.

Therefore you should choose us

With us you will have the opportunity to become part of an operating department in development, where there is room for both professional depth and humor in daily life. We work purposefully with competence development, patient safety and a culture where we help and develop each other.

Employment terms

The positions are, as a rule, 37 hours per week. Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The employment is conditional on a satisfactory criminal record check for working with children and a valid authorization.
