Surgical nurses for the Operating Department, Anesthesia Department, Central and Western Zealand Hospital, Næstved

We are seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position as well as a maternity cover with a start date of December 1, 2026. Both positions are 37 hours.

Who are we?

Næstved Hospital is a pure elective hospital that opens up for a workplace with a relatively predictable daily life, where we have the opportunity to focus on the development of the elective patient pathway.

The daily life in the operating rooms is characterized by a high patient flow, but there is time and room to have 100% focus on the individual patient and the individual patient pathway, which gives us the opportunity to continuously work on creating the best treatment pathways for our patients.

We have a strong focus on good collaboration in the operating team, as a strong multidisciplinary collaboration helps to ensure optimal, high-quality patient pathways and a good working environment. We therefore have a collaboration group consisting of employees from all professional groups in the operating team, who continuously look at how we can use each other’s resources and expertise in the joint task of caring for the patient.

Our group consists of both younger and older nurses. Some have many years of experience, while others are newer to the profession. We place high value on a good working environment and continually focus on developing and maintaining a good sense of community at work. Here there is room for laughter and good spirits, and there is space to discuss professional topics that develop us and our nursing practice.

We are 21 operating room nurses who provide assistance in the specialties of urology and orthopedic surgery.

In the urological specialty we perform transurethral procedures including stone surgery as well as minor open procedures, and in the orthopedic surgical specialty we perform knee and hip arthroplasties, both primary and revision arthroplasties.

Practical information

We work Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and in addition we cover long day shifts from Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You should expect to have one long shift per week.

Salary and employment terms

Pay is according to the agreement for non-management staff in the Sundhedskartel (Health Federation) area 32.17.1

Area of employment

Region Zealand and Region Capital will become Region East Denmark on January 1, 2027 as a result of the health reform. Your area of employment will be Region East Denmark with all associated organizational units.

Starting salary for employees under the collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally set allowances, and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience, and qualifications.
