As a student at Louis Nielsen you will have an exciting internship in a professional and energetic team that supports you throughout your training.

Your everyday life at Louis Nielsen

As an optics student at Louis Nielsen you will be allowed to translate all your knowledge from your studies into practice. We emphasize that you not only look, but gain enough experience to be able to examine and guide your own customers. This of course requires thorough training, and we make sure of that.

You will be trained to perform eye tests with expert precision. You will learn how to ensure the best advice in choosing glasses and contact lenses, and you will be introduced to our many products. You will also be trained in our health check, through which you assess customers' eye health and guide them in the results of Fundus images, IOP measurements,

visual field screenings, etc. Thus, in the future you will be able to help ensure that potential diseases are detected in time so that customers can maintain their good vision.

In other words: You will join an exciting journey in Denmark's largest and leading optical chain – a journey that can develop you in the direction you want.

To support you during your internship you will have a strong team of colleagues behind you and Denmark's best team of opticians, who continuously brainstorm with each other across our stores. There is therefore ample opportunity to ask questions and get help along the way.

During your internship period we also focus on having you contact students in other stores so you have the opportunity to brainstorm with and learn from each other.

In 1994 Louis Nielsen was expelled from the industry when we refused to conform to the overcharges that consumers were forced to pay. Louis Nielsen believed that every citizen had the right to a pair of glasses at a reasonable price. This remains the fundamental idea in our business, and since then we have done things in our own way.

Today we are responsible for the sale of almost every second pair of glasses in Denmark, and are thus the country's largest optical chain.
