Organ consultant wanted - East

The position as organ consultant in the Diocese of Copenhagen, Helsingør, Roskilde and Lolland-Falster is hereby advertised with a start date of 1 January 2027. The position is fixed-term for 4 years and expires on 31 December 2030.

The position is a part-time/secondary occupation.

Profile

The organ consultant must have passed a church music diploma exam from a Danish music conservatory or an equivalent approved foreign exam. The person appointed to the position must not have a financial interest in companies that manufacture, distribute, or repair organs or accessories for organs.

Tasks

The organ consultant's field of expertise is organ matters and other issues of significance for the musical activity in the churches. The organ consultant shall, upon request, provide statements in matters relating to the consultant's field. In addition, the organ consultant provides advice and guidance to parish councils and deanery committees upon request.

The organ consultant also participates as needed in the diocese's consultant rounds, where we, among other things, visit churches in the diocese where a parish council has wishes or plans for a project.

During the consultant rounds, the project is discussed with the parish council, and where the organ consultant applies their professional expertise together with the diocese's other consultants. About 4 consultant rounds are held per year in each diocese.

Please note that the Ministry of Health and Church Affairs expects to issue revised administrative regulations for consultation to be published for consultation during September 2026. It is proposed to change the consultants' areas of expertise, and the changes will therefore be significant for upcoming appointments. The ministry expects to adopt the administrative regulations in October-November 2026.

It is important to note that as an organ consultant you may not undertake project assignments for parish councils within the diocese you are employed in, unless the diocese exceptionally approves it.

Fee

The fee as of 1 January 2026

• Advisory cases in accordance with § 8 in circular no. 9779 of 6 October 2009 on a common instruction for the church's consultants: 1,236.00 DKK per hour.
• Statement cases in accordance with § 7, sec. 1, in circular no. 9779 of 6 October 2009 on a common instruction for the church's consultants: 1,854.00 kr.pr . statement.

The fee is supplemented with holiday allowance of 12.5%, while VAT is not to be added.

Rates are adjusted annually on 1 January.
