About us

The Capacity Center Camp and Medical Equipment employs 20 military and civilian staff; A chief, deputy chief, container team leader and deputy commander, as well as 16 technical case handlers.

Our total capacity responsibility in the section covers three areas, Hireable equipment that includes Tents, Climate equipment, Mobile tank and fuel equipment, Field kitchen, Generators, Water purification and Water storage. In addition, medical equipment, as well as the entire Defence container fleet. The containers are largely special containers tailored to the needs of the Defence units to be deployed mobile worldwide.

About the position You will become part of Container Team's 13 employees, who all have modification, procurement, operation and phasing out of containers and container equipment as a common denominator. The containers are largely special containers tailored to the Defence units' needs.

Here you will be technically responsible for operation of a number of container equipment systems, commission the equipment, solve issues with existing container types, and be able to advise customers/users at the technical level within the container area.

The tasks span very broadly

· Be responsible for the operation of own container equipment systems from cradle to grave.

· Participate in the implementation of new framework agreements for taking over operation.

· Customer contact. Close dialogue with Defence units. Both in connection with design and drafting of requirements specifications for tendering of new container types and subsequently in connection with phasing in to operational use.

· Supplier contact and collaboration with Danish and foreign suppliers in connection with tender process, framework agreement, construction process, prototype builds, serial production, testing and quality assurance, factory training, complaint handling, system development, etc.

· Controlling and follow-up on the operation of existing equipment systems.

· Continuously develop and (operational) optimize the container area.

We ensure that you are competence-developed with courses, further education and on-the-job training.

You collaborate and coordinate closely with other technical specialists, operating units mainly in the Army, Air Force, Navy and the Emergency Management Agency, workshops, purchasers, commercial lawyers and administrative staff.

You have travel activity to other Defence establishments and abroad in connection with supplier visits.

About you

You are a supervisory master and preferably with a technical background, where you have gained extensive experience and knowledge, particularly within a similar work area.

You have broad knowledge of the Defence organization and task solving, as well as an ability and willingness to work across the entire Defence and collaborate with other authorities.

You work in a structured way and are good at prioritizing between daily tasks. You can both participate in an effective teamwork with other colleagues, but also independently solve diverse tasks and ensure that they are followed through.

The position is joint-service and can be applied for if you can additionally tick √ for the following:

• Well-formulated in writing and speaking Danish.
• Proficient in English in writing and speaking.
• Extensive experience with MM in SAP, and preferably also PM.
• Previous service as a case handler in a unit within the materiel area at level II or III authority is an advantage.
• Possession of personal maturity and assertiveness, as well as good collaboration skills.
• Use of IT tools is a given for you

Knowledge and skills within the container area will be weighted positively but are not a requirement.

Employment terms

The employment is in accordance with the current General Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Teachers' Union and CO10 – Central Organization of 2010 and the Administrative Agreement between the Defence Ministry's Personnel Agency and CO10 and the Central Association for Civil Servants for civil employees within the Defence Ministry's area within the Central Association for Civil Servants' negotiating area (formerly the Defence Civil Service).

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is an opportunity for negotiation of supplements. The position is attached to an employer-financed pension scheme.

The fixed place of service is in either Ballerup or Aalborg.

As an employee in the Defence Ministry’s area you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be security-cleared and maintain the security clearance during the entire employment process.

You as an employee have a duty to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-enforcing, humanitarian and other similar operations.

The Defence Ministry's Materiel and Procurement Agency (FMI) is an agency under the Ministry of Defence.

FMI is responsible for the overall defence and emergency materiel, IT and cyber security. It is us who procure, operate and dispose of materiel and IT for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Arctic Command, Special Operations Command, Home Guard, Emergency Management Agency and the rest of the Defence Ministry's group. In addition, our IT staff assist daily in resisting the cyber-attacks the Defence Ministry's group is exposed to.
