We see the children's everyday routines as important learning environments and the foundation of our work is safety, presence, care, empathy and recognition.

We value the child perspective and the children's participation, and with us there is room for children to develop at their own pace and to seek their own challenges and pursue what they are interested in, with support from an adult. With us the adults lead in front, beside and behind and are reflective about our own role in the children's learning environment and in their play and activities. The children experience a broad offering of different activities that are planned, but we also value space for spontaneity and suddenly arising good ideas and always start from the individual child and the child group.

We are looking for an educator who

• Is professionally well-founded and is good at reflecting on one’s own and others’ practice and who asks open and curious questions.
• Wants to work purposefully with the curriculum and, together with children and colleagues, will develop exciting, inspiring and educational care- and learning environments that strengthen the children's belief in their own abilities.
• Is skilled in relationship work, with children, colleagues and adults.
• Focuses on the value of a good parent contact and is able to create and maintain this.
• Radiates joy and presence in relational work with the children and meets them in an acknowledging and inclusive manner.
• Can see the unique and fantastic in each child and is able to express this in the relationship.
• Is initiative-rich and imaginative and can plan and carry out activities for and with the children, so they gain good experiences and learning from it.
• Is good at communicating both orally and in writing and has knowledge of IT
• Wants professional development and is imaginative and experimental.
• Has humor and good spirits.
• Possibly has competencies within the musical and can play an instrument.

Ovinehøj is a well-functioning, self-owned day institution with private operation and a parent-elected board. The institution consists of four independently situated houses, all located centrally in Svendborg town centre.

We are normed for 39 nursery children and 124 kindergarten children, and are currently about 25 employees.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with BUPL's agreement with the Danish Association of Daycare Institutions.

Ovinehøj will obtain a criminal record check and a child safety check for the applicant who is hired.
