About the job

Do you have strong pedagogical professionalism and a desire to put your practical skills to use?

At Center for Communication and Education – Hillerød (CKU) we are looking for a trained pedagogue or occupational therapist on a full-time basis from January 1, 2027 .

We are looking for someone who, with both professionalism, presence and curiosity, can support young people with disabilities in achieving increased independence, communication, and quality of life. You should enjoy being outdoors and going on trips with our young people, as we have daily morning rounds outdoors and take every opportunity to travel in the center’s buses.

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 16.30. About us – a place in development

We take care to find ways to learning and communication.

We are working purposefully to become professionally strong in

In addition, we draw on strong forces from CKU Skansevej (the former Kommunikationscenter) when the need calls for it.

As part of CKU you get the opportunity to influence development – together with skilled, engaged colleagues from many disciplines.

Music is seen as a natural possibility for self-expression when ordinary communication is difficult. We collaborate with the music school and our music teacher from the STU contributes with music in everyday life. You do not need to be able to play yourself, as long as you enjoy music.

We are committed to adapting the environment and pedagogy to the persons’ sensory profiles, and would really welcome your contribution and perspective in this.

  • strengthen the youths’ self-worth, motivation and participation

  • opportunity to express your creativity in special pedagogical frameworks
  • personal and professional development – including through our overall competency uplift
  • a workplace in motion where new ideas have room
  • time for both documentation, collaboration and preparation
  • about 10 happy young people divided into 2 groups, who provide honest and immediate feedback
  • colleagues who make a real difference
  • a workplace with focus on wellbeing and flexibility in both work and family life

We are looking for you who

  • are a trained pedagogue or occupational therapist – preferably with experience within the special needs field

  • communicate well – both verbally and in writing
  • thrive in collaboration with relatives and external partners
