About the job

Would you be our new colleague in a small team, with great responsibility and room for humor?

Do you thrive with independent responsibility, professional challenges, and close collegial collaboration? And would you like to make a difference in everyday life for people with reduced cognitive functioning? Then you may be our new, pedagogical colleague.

With us you become part of a small team of three permanent staff, where we place high value on professionalism, trust, humor and good cooperation. We have great influence on our daily life and work together to create safe and meaningful frames for our 12 residents.

Who are we, and who lives at Tåsingegade?

Tåsingegade is a residential facility under the housing act section 105 on Østerbro with section 85 support. Here there is room for 12 adult residents aged 18-50 in their own apartments spread over two floors.

The residents largely master parts of their daily lives independently but need individual pedagogical support for, among other things, structure, overview, social relations and development of their own competencies. Most are in employment several days a week.

Our most important task is to support the residents' independence, well-being and the opportunity to live a meaningful life on their own terms.

A everyday life with relationships, professionalism and practical tasks

We work based on neuropedagogy and use among other things KRAP, visualization and welfare technology. We are curious about what works for the individual resident, and tailor our efforts according to residents' wishes, resources and needs.

Relationships are an important part of our work and we place emphasis on presence, trust and a respectful approach – preferably with humor, which is also a natural part of our interaction with residents.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

  • support residents in mastering daily life and developing or maintaining their competencies
  • work with individual goals and subgoals as well as weekly housing support
  • support structure, overview and balance in residents' daily life
  • participate in a close and trusted collaboration with relatives and other partners
  • take part in joint cooking three times a week, where sometimes food is prepared for many
  • support residents in medication management and taking care of their own health
  • handle pedagogical and health-related documentation in DOMUS
  • contribute to the shared pedagogical practice and the administrative tasks that come with a co-governing team

We work with performance indicators from VUM (adult assessment method) and translate them into concrete sub-goals together with the residents.

We also hold an annual relatives/friend event and participate in Vinklens' annual resident party.

A small team with independence, humor and room for diversity

We are a small team with an informal tone, where there is room for both humor, professional discussions and personal chats. We use the Enneagram as a tool to understand ourselves and each other better. It gives us insight into our different strengths, development areas and ways of collaborating. We are aware of our differences and actively use them to support, complement and make each other better in everyday life.

We help each other, back each other up and have management that supports us in our work. Humor is also a natural part of interacting with residents, and we believe that good relationships and a relaxed tone contribute to safety and well-being.

Since we are few employees, we do not always work at the same time. Our shifts are staggered over the day, and you will typically work alone in the last hours up to 7:00 PM. This requires that you can maintain an overview, take responsibility and make professionally justified decisions.

Even if you are alone at work, you have the option to contact management or colleagues from other residential facilities in Vinklen, where the nearest are located about a 10-minute walk away.

We place great emphasis on clear communication, shared professional direction and trust in each other. We must be able to rely on our agreements being followed, so residents experience continuity and safety.

A small team – but part of a larger community

Tåsingegade is part of Vinklen, which consists of eight teams spread across different addresses in Copenhagen.

We have good collaboration across the residential facilities, where we use each other for professional sparring, exchange of experiences and help in everyday life. We also cooperate with, among others, nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, psychotherapists and other relevant professionals.

In Vinklen we work in co-governing teams, where we as employees have great influence on our workday and share the responsibility for, among other things, shift planning, procurement, medication management, work environment and other administrative tasks.

This gives both freedom and influence, but also requires that you take initiative and follow your tasks through to the end.

Whom do we hope you are?

We are looking for a trained pedagogue or pedagogical assistant who would like to work with adults with reduced cognitive functioning.

We particularly emphasize that you

  • are good at building relationships and meet residents with respect, curiosity, patience and preferably a gleam in the eye
  • can work independently, take responsibility and keep an overview in challenging situations
  • work in a structured and systematic way, but at the same time are flexible and creative in your approach
  • are trustworthy and thrive with close involvement of relatives
  • actively contribute to good collegial collaboration and want to develop our joint practice

You do not need to be able to do it all from day one. The most important is that you are professionally curious, want to learn and can take responsibility together with us.

What can we offer you?

You will become part of a workplace where we make an effort – both in the work with residents and in collaboration with each other.

With us you get

  • a small, engaged team with close collaboration, humor and great influence on everyday life
  • a workplace with room for professional curiosity, reflection and new ideas
  • a strong professional community and collaboration with the other teams in Vinklen
  • management that backs us up and supports us in our work
  • opportunity for professional sparring, supervision and competence development, including KRAP, recovery and trauma-informed approaches
  • weekly staff meetings, professional theme days and joint arrangements across Vinklen
  • massage scheme

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with work in the hours 8:00-19:00.

We work in a 3-week rotation with weekend shifts every third Sunday 13:00-19:00.

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement. Start date: January 1, 2027.

We will obtain references and criminal records in connection with potential employment.
