Your Profile

• You are a trained social educator (pædagog) or have another relevant education and preferably experience within the club area and leisure education
• You have competencies in pedagogical sports and want to gather larger groups of children/young people and initiate movement activities in the hall or outdoors
• You are proficient in English in writing and speaking, as we have a large group of recipient children
• You are outgoing and generally have a good mood and contagious energy
• You can acknowledge that you make a difference for children and young people through your work, and that you are passionate about doing it
• You can see the benefits of interdisciplinary collaboration, especially with the school as the closest partner, and you are interested in contributing to the retention and development of this collaboration
• You are curious about new professional knowledge and the latest research and align with the child perspective presented in the Aarhus Municipality’s child and youth policy
• You can work independently and methodically and are thorough and systematic when the task calls for it
• You take responsibility for the shared working environment by contributing positively to it yourself
• You are ready to take on practical tasks, e.g., like your colleagues, to prepare evening openings
• You are ready to work one fixed evening per week
• Having a driving license is an advantage

Why choose us

Klubben Lisbjerg is a leisure offer for children and young people from 4th grade to 18 years old. We have around 200 members and are visited daily by more than 100 children and young people.

We are located on the top floor of Lisbjerg School, where we have our own spaces as well as areas we share with the school.

Some of our members are arrival children who come to the school and club on arrival in Denmark and are gradually integrated into normal classes at their district schools.

We have a very close collaboration with Lisbjerg School. Our educators are equal members of year groups and participate in teaching hours where well-being is in focus. In addition, the educators participate in activities and trips with the school, and we are essentially involved in all meetings concerning our common children and young people.

We are a strong learning community consisting of 6 sharp educators (including you), a fabulous kitchen staff member and an educational leader. We have a good working environment characterized by mutual trust and a willingness to succeed together. A high degree of psychological safety enables an experimental approach and honest evaluation and feedback focused on individual and organizational learning. We are sustained by organizational membership and strive for excellent solutions, while being aware that it must be fun to go to work.

Salary and terms of employment

We offer a permanent position as club educator, 30 hours/week. Salary and terms of employment will be according to the applicable collective agreement with BUPL.

Start date: January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.

About UngiAarhus

UngiAarhus is a city-wide organization that is responsible for after-school clubs, youth clubs, the youth school and the pedagogically led playgrounds in Aarhus Municipality. We also collaborate with the schools on the formation and education of the youth. Our target group is children and young people from 4th grade to 18 years (21 years for young people with special needs).
