Pedagogical assistants or experienced pedagogical aides for Børnehuset Villa Kulla

Are you good at playing, being present and participating, then you may be the one we are looking for at Villa Kulla.

As two of our employees are going on maternity leave and one on education, we are looking for two to three pedagogical assistants, possibly experienced pedagogical assistants, for fixed-term positions.

Positions are as a rule in the toddler group and one in the middle groups, but since we are a combined childcare house, it is important that you are prepared to contribute across the whole house and can work with children of all ages.

We value that you can initiate and actively participate in play with the children, both the wild play with lots of movement and the more calm and presence-based activities. At the same time, it is important that you are a safe, caring and present adult who can create good relationships with the children and support the children’s routines and daily life in the nursery.

Your key tasks

• To support children's participation opportunities in communities
• To create safe and recognizable frames for the children, while following their curiosity, initiatives and spontaneity, among other things through play
• To contribute to an everyday life where children and adults meet at eye level with presence, play, belonging and room for laughter
• To support the children in their daily routines and needs, as well as participation opportunities.

Your competences

• You are good at using facial expressions, body language and voice when you are with the children
• You are actively participating in the pedagogical work and good at being on the floor with the children, e.g. singing games, dancing, playing with cars and outdoor activities
• You meet children at eye level, and you are a safe and calm base for them
• You are curious about children and their world and can follow their cues
• You are caring, present and see possibilities rather than limitations
• You are stable, engaged and prepared to contribute to the pedagogical and practical tasks in our work community within the job descriptions
• You can speak and write Danish
• You contribute with good humor and energy
• You are educated as a pedagogical assistant (you may be newly graduated when you start with us and apply even if you complete your education after the application deadline) or have relevant experience as a pedagogical aide from day care or after-school care (SFO).

Who are we

We are the Villa Kulla Daycare with lots of wonderful children, good colleagues and two pedagogical leaders.

In Villa Kulla we have

• Six toddler groups
• Four middle groups for the 3-4-year-olds
• Two big-child groups for the upcoming schoolchildren.

The groups are distributed across three connected houses. Each house has its own playground, and all rooms have direct access to outdoor areas with many opportunities for play, movement and experiences with nature.

Our opening hours are

• Monday to Thursday 6:45 – 17:00
• Friday 6:45 – 16:45.

It is a condition for working at Villa Kulla that your working hours can be arranged within the full opening hours of the nursery.

We hold staff meetings in the evening about 10 times a year. In addition, we hold ongoing child and parent events, including dinner evenings and a summer party.

In Ballerup Municipality the day care area is organized into five district institutions. The district division follows the school districts, as Ballerup Municipality aims for a coordinated effort for the 0-25 age group.

Hiring process and salary

The start date is 1 January, 15 January and 1 February 2027.

The interviews are expected to be held on 23 November 2026. You will be contacted no later than 20 November 2026 if you are invited for an interview.

The positions are event-based and 37 hours.

We offer wages and employment terms according to the collective agreement for pedagogical aides and pedagogical assistants in municipalities.

Employment follows the principles of local wage formation and in agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position as a pedagogical aide or pedagogical assistant is 27,766 DKK – 33,361 DKK per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiation between the employer and the trade organization with negotiating rights in the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
