Pedagogical assistant sought for our lovely children in the middle group at the kindergarten, at Stenbuen Daycare

My name is Charlotte, and I am the pedagogical leader at Stenbuen. We are looking for you with high ambitions on behalf of all children. P-meetings we use to discuss pedagogy, share good experiences and create professional development. The nursery has a focus on children's self-reliance. It shines through in all daily activities. We support children's understanding of me and you by naming the children's initiatives, intentions and feelings in interaction with other children and adults. The nursery is also equipped with different learning environments.

The kindergarten operates functionally divided in open plan and our rooms are arranged with different learning environments, clearly showing what the child can do here. The staff move between the different functions according to a plan and relate to the children who come into the function.

Our groups are age-segregated , The Elves are the 0-2 year olds, The Smurfs are 2-3 year olds, The Gray group are the 3 year olds, Red group the 4 year olds and Yellow group are the 5 year olds.

The available position is in Red group, where you will work closely with a pedagogue. Together you will plan and carry out various activities, and you will take on the responsibility as primary for the children in Red group.

You will also be part of the entire kindergarten team, which consists of two additional pedagogues and two assistants.

I have asked some of our staff what they particularly would like from you as a new colleague, and here they say that you should be passionate about working with children from 0-6 years, see children's initiatives and be able to enlarge them as well as follow and adjust yourself to the child perspective. Be in the moment and create magic, with what you have in front of you

As a person you are calm, with a good overview and a positive approach to the people you interact with. You do not let yourself be knocked off balance by a few bumps along the way. The main goal is that the children have a good everyday life.

My philosophy as the pedagogical leader is that what we do must make sense for staff, children and parents. We succeed best when we work together to do things and make each other look good . We must be authentic adults and sincere in our meeting with the children . And I expect a high degree of responsibility and qualified participation in the pedagogical life at Stenbuen.
