Passionate kitchen assistant with a focus on children's nutrition and sustainability for Havblik

We have the kitchen and we are looking for you who want to help give Havblik's children a good start. We are seeking a skilled and independent employee with lots of visions and engagement. You must be passionate about cooking, quality, children's nutrition, ecology, sustainability, and promoting food confidence. You are smiling and approachable.

Havblik is a well-functioning institution close to Sundbyvester Plads for 0-6 years with about 86 children and 17 staff distributed across two kindergartens and three nurseries.

We are looking for you who are comfortable with basic cooking techniques, can maintain a good pace, while also having ambitions to help develop the children's food confidence. You can produce nutritionally healthy and varied meals made from scratch from seasonal organic produce. You place emphasis on offering children food that is appealing in taste, color and texture and provides good dining experiences.

You love the sustainable kitchen, where legumes play a central role, and you are adept at using them in your cooking. Havblik has a kitchen garden with opportunities for small projects from soil to table together with the children.

Your primary tasks will be to

• produce nutritious, varied and appealing meals, made from scratch from the season's organic raw materials and able to satisfy and challenge the children's food confidence
• develop meal plans based on recommendations for diet for children, joy of eating, Copenhagen Municipality's guidelines for sustainable food and the given food budget
• order goods (in Kvantum)
• conduct ongoing self-checks in eSmiley
• collaborate with colleagues and management in the house.

Employment terms

The position is 35 hours per week, but there is a possibility for employment with 33-37 hours per week. The working hours are generally in the period 07:00-14:30, but you have the opportunity to influence your meeting times. We want you to be able to start as soon as possible - preferably December 1, 2026 or January 1, 2027. Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation. In connection with the employment we will obtain child and criminal record checks and take references.
